I knew this would likely be coming about for months now though when I heard of Bobbi Kristina's passing the amount of sadness I felt was surprising to me.

Atlanta — An autopsy will be needed to evaluate what led to the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of singer Whitney Houston, authorities said Monday, the day after her death.

In a statement Monday morning, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office says the time that elapsed from when she was found unresponsive in January until her death Sunday will “complicate” its effort to reconstruct events.

“Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging,” the medical examiner’s office said in the statement. “However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death.” ...

Just saw this on the morning news. Although it was expected, hearing it, and reading the updates here does not make the tragedy any less cruel.

I join all of you in my sadness for a young life lost. May Bobbi Kristina now, finally, find her peace. Mother and daughter had to reunite in heaven for that to happen. That, to me, is the saddest part of all of this.

ATLANTA — A former Fulton County prosecutor said news of the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown will likely mean more troubles for her former boyfriend Nick Gordon, WGCL reports.

“I think that Nick Gordon was not formally charged with murder since Bobbi Kristina was still alive, but now that she has passed on, there is more than likely a charge coming soon for, if not murder, second degree murder which is an unintentional killing that resulted in death,” said Melanie Davis, a former Fulton County prosecutor.

Many questions remain following the tragic death of Bobbi Kristina Brown.

In late January, the 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell, Ga., home. She never fully regained consciousness and was kept on life support. In March, she was moved to a long-term care facility in the Atlanta area, and in June, she was transferred to hospice after her condition "continued to deteriorate," Pat Houston said. While Bobbi Kristina was in a coma, rumors regarding her health ran rampant.

Sadly, she died Sunday...

On Monday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that her death had been reported "in accordance with state death investigation laws requiring investigation of known or suspected non-natural deaths." The office will determine "the cause, manner and circumstances" that led to her passing. "Despite the long interval between her being found unresponsive and her death, an autopsy will still be necessary to further evaluate possible causes of death or contributing factors." ...
