moo. I think I can see where this is going.. They are going to claim that to pay back the loan for the trip JV stole a truck for DM. Pretty weak considering all the evidence up to this point. Also shows how little dm has going on to try to get himself out of this murder charge. The thing that troubles me is that Dm doesn't appear to have the smarts to concoct this plan, but his lawyer likely does.

CN may be quickly recovering from any amnesia she may have suffered from thinking about the real estate agent flicking her hair back and sharing affectionate glances with DM. There's CN, equipped with her degree, facing hard time for being the "chosen one" in DM's harem. Guess she's still luckier than LB. MOO

I don't. But if MS was there only to help him steal a truck and DM just shot and killed the owner without MS realizing that was even a possibility, from all accounts MS was not in a vehicle with DM for most of the crime so why didn't he drive straight to the nearest police station to tell them what happened and absolve himself of participation in a murder and accessory after the fact? Same with DM. Neither did this because either that was the plan all along, or neither of them had a problem with it after it happened and just carried on cleaning it up. Considering their other charges, I'd say this was not a new experience for either of them.

MOO

Because he was probably scared beyond belief. This isn't the kind of thing that happens every day. I bet he had absolutely no clue how to react ... probably in a state of shock and we all know the types of decisions we make when in a stake of shock (hint: not good ones). MOO

What are we learning from this video? Are we seeing the area where the black truck will be sitting?

It goes toward testimony, texts and evidence SS was in the hangar waiting for AM to come pick up his car the eve of May 6th, 2013. Statement given by DM's housemate RB in court today. RB said he drove AM to the hangar after work that eve. They went inside the hangar where AM's car because SS had worked on the brakes. AM and RB hung out for about an hour and SS started the Camaro for them, RB recording it running. HTH and MOO.

At 5pm, he picked up Michalski (by TO airport) and they headed toward Waterloo. Took them 1.5-2hrs, he says.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
He got a text from Millard about a road block, but can't remember the details. Crown asks if he can show him his text records.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
The text came in around 6pm, telling him Bloor St. (near the house in Etobicoke) was closed. He didn't know what it was about.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
When Bochenek and Michalski get to the hangar, they go inside. He meets Shane for first time. Michalski's car was ready.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
Shane then looked at Bochenek's vehicle because he had been having braking problems. They stayed for maybe an hour.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
He was interested in vehicles. He took videos in the hangar, of them looking at them. Court will see those now.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
Video shows Shane, Michalski checking out a red Camaro, which is running. "DRGRACER" is the license plate.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
I don't know anything about cars, but it looks like the hood has been removed and you can see all of...the parts. Suped up? Modified?

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
The red pickup truck was there too, Bochenek says. The one he'd seen Vallata driving from time to time.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12h12 hours ago
Close to 8pm he and Michalski left, each in their own cars. Stopped at a gas station.

would a Lawyer really do this? This seems a little far fetched that a Lawyer would implicate an innocent man in a murder. Do they really do this? I'm not convinced this is what the Lawyer is trying to do.

Apologies for getting off topic but when some of the witnesses saw the truck at the hangar and the carpet pulled out, didn't they see any blood stains on the carpet? I would think that there would be a lot of blood on them. I'm sure that Shane guy saw a lot more going on and didn't even think twice about the helpless victim and his family.

Welcome Melzack :welcome:

I wondered about that too. SH did say that he saw the truck in the hangar on May 8th and that he saw carpet on the tarp. He may not have gotten close enough to see what was on the carpet but I'd assume SS did.

MOO

Your best defense is proving it wasn't you. The best way to do that is to prove that it was someone else. This is EXACTLY what good defense attorney's do.

.

No more court until next week so here is how to paint a Camaro like what SS drives.

I have done a lot of custom painting in my life including Camaros .... in 1975 I went to Sunset Boulevard in LA and met Jon Kosmoski who is the originator of the House of Kolors Candy Apple line of paints. I bought a supply of his products and brought them to Canada .

Jon is now in his 70's and this video shows him painting a red Camaro .... the car body has been meticulously prepared , primed and painted with a silver base coat plus some black stripes .... then Jon applies multiple layers of transparent candy red followed by a couple of wet coats of clear.

Gives the gals an idea of how hard us guys have to work in order to buy your jewelry ... HAAA

Enjoy the video , Jon is still considered one of the best and original custom painters in the world.

Was that Camaro listed as one of the vehicles registered to DM or a Millard company?

Not sure, can't recall. Maybe it was "gifted" to SS for all his hard work and dedication to DM over the past seven years. LW received a nice $10k bonus so... MOO.

I think DM is crafty enough in this way: He makes sure he knows and then exploits everyone's weaknesses in his inner circle.

I am truly wondering what DM has on MS that MS would, if not directly involved in killing LB and TB, would make him perhaps fearful of going to the police with what he knew about either crime? There may be some possibility of his involvement being explained, although it may not completely exonerate MS, IMO. I do hope we hear from MS. IMO, if he doesn't testify in his own defense and against DM, MS will have faint hope of an acquittal. I know he is not compelled to take the stand, but that is just how I see it.

All MOO.

Well perhaps the Lawyer wouldn't however, if his client, DM, has told him that this is what happened and he assumes that JV is the guy because of this, that and the other, then the Lawyer will go with it. The Lawyer's not making up. DM is.

False, a good defense attorney's job is to show an alternative 'truth' that creates reasonable doubt. That's why criminal defense attorney's are typically disliked.

Agreed, however DM is contributing to the alternate truth, whether it is the truth or not.

This may be a far-fetched idea, but you know how people project things onto others when they have a guilty conscience? ie Married person constantly suspicious and accusing spouse of infidelity when they themselves are having an affair.

The whole "I've been framed and I don't know why" theory DM was shopping around to his devotees may have been an unconscious or even conscious way of admitting he was framing someone else?

Or . . . maybe I'm again overthinking things. lol

All MOO.

I'm sure we will soon find out which of DM's friends received the locked toolbox which allegedly had the gun it. The Crown says DM and CN dropped it off around 4:00 a.m. on May 10. CN's phone pinged in Milton around that time. Could this friend have been Hagerman, the person CN was trying to reach while she and DM were dropping off the trailer in Kleinburg? Perhaps the idea was to plant the gun on somebody who could later be blamed for the murder? But then, why give it to the friend? Was it he who was going to be framed, or was he just another lackey who would have to do the dirty work for DM?

Thanks Arnie. My first boyfriend bought an old '67 Camaro (geez what a heap when he first got it LOL) rebuilt the engine and fixed her up with original parts he searched all over for then had it painted Candy Apple Red. Took him a couple of years. Beautiful car once it was finished. I think he loved that car way more than me so he became a memory rather than a keeper LOL. Takes me back. :)

When did DM buy the yukon? I thought it was Millard Air vehicle even when they had the Pearson Hangar...so I am confused by this statement.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 7h7 hours ago
V says they did it at the airport just recently after buying it. They painted the rims black. Either Mark or Dellen did it, he says #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 7h7 hours ago
Crown asks when hub caps were taken off Millard's Yukon (jumping back a bit here). #Bosma

Assuming that was the case (hypothetically), and DM's lawyer was concocting pinning this on JV, then this is where the ethics of a defense counsel are way offside. I always wonder, like many here, how many defense lawyers sleep with themselves at night, knowing the scum they defend are guilty as all hell. However, it's one thing to ensure that the legal process ensues fairly for their client, and that they get a fair trial according to the procedures of law, BUT another to make $hit up and try pin it on an innocent third party.

That carpeting is not an easy removal. You have to take off all the base trim to get it out in one section. In a quick removal situation it would have been cut out and the rest dealt with later. So all blood soaked carpet removed and burnt at farm. Maybe that was the back seat carpet with little to no blood on it that Hussey seen. So if this was back seat carpet with small amounts of blood, you'd have to get very close up to see it on the dark Charcoal color carpeting.
