Buzz, he has another brother, Michael I believe his name is, who is older them him. And Michael isn't talking. Neither is Nate anymore for that matter.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. He is doing penance for the death of his twins. It is said he allegedly delivered them in a "home delivery". They were dead. One of them was named "innocence". He blames himself; I think it threw him into a psychotic episode. The very fact that he waits until Patsy Ramsey is dead to "confess" says a whole lot. Just on ABC News a little bit ago...discussion of the (1996) ME's compromising the DNA evidence found under the fingernails of JBR by using the SAME instrument to collect DNA evidence from JBR's nails as was used on the previous ME case without cleaning it first....or using a new one...

He was interviewed here on local TV News and answered "No Comment" when asked to confirm his brother's comment that he worked for JR...

What if it turns out that Karr had knowingly or unknowingly spoken to the real murder online, discussed the murder? What if he is repeating things that he has read in online *advertiser censored* chat rooms about the murder since 1996?

Has he really broken a law?

CNN showed part of the court documents for his California child *advertiser censored* conviction. He was charged with five counts of violating Califonia Penal Code Section 311.11. Checking that section: the punishment for each count is up to one year in jail or a fine not to exceed $2,500.00, or both the fine and imprisonment. If a judge sentenced him to five consecutive sentences, he could be in for up to five years.

Plenty of time for the Boulder DA to prepare her case!

Wudge -- I believe it was in the fall of 1996 that he switched jobs from refurbising older homes to teaching. I'm pretty sure it was the beginning of that school year, maybe 3 months before the murder.

I had *heard* early on that instead of using separate clippers for each nail (hand?), he used the same pair on all the nails. Never heard that he used dirty ones. If that's true, that DNA could match anybody including some grandma that died the same day.

Records from the Franklin County Board of Education indicate John Mark Karr worked as a substitute teacher from Dec. 17 to Dec. 19, 1996. Ramsey was found dead in the basement of her Boulder, Colo., home Dec. 26, 1996, authorities said.

Former Vina Principal Johnny Hester said that after the 1996 Christmas break, Karr continued to serve as a substitute teacher at Vina in early 1997 and throughout that year.

Records indicate Karr received his last paycheck from the school system in December 1997.

If he was into the refurbishing business at that time, he could have used the need to evaluate a potential job as a reason to be absent for a few days.
