Man charged in Lenexa storage unit case named a suspect in California murder

ALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- The 35-year-old man charged with allegedly dismembering and abandoning the corpse of his wife has been charged with murder in California.

The Palm Springs Police Department said Wednesday on Facebook that Justin Rey is a suspect for the murder of Palm Springs resident Sean Ty Ferel.

The department said Ferel was reported missing after he went on a vacation with Rey in 2016 but was overdue in returning home.

Palm Springs police believe Rey murdered Ferel and illegally used his financial and personal information and belongings.

Ferel's body has still not been found.

Jabez Spann, 14, was last seen on Sept. 4 at a Labor Day barbecue with his family in the area of 22nd Street in Sarasota. He is 5 feet, 9 inches, weighs 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt. A reward of up to $25,000 from the FBI, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Sarasota Police Department is available for knowledge of his whereabouts.

Desperate search for Texas girl Heaven, 15, believed lured by 'much older' man

A missing 15-year-old Texas girl may have been lured by a “much older” man from California she met via Snapchat, the girl’s family said on social media.

Heaven Ray Cox, of Orange, Texas, was last seen by her parents on Nov. 25.

Detective Janois Grizzaffi with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told the Beaumont Enterprise the teen’s parents first notified law enforcement of her disappearance around 3 p.m. Sunday.

She is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall with blonde hair and brown eyes, and weighs approximately 113 pounds.

Pueblo Police have announced the arrest of Donthe Lucas for the murder of his girlfriend Kelsie Schelling.

Detectives with the Pueblo Police Department and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation served the warrant to Lucas while he was already in custody on unrelated charges at the Pueblo County Detention Center.

He's facing a charge of first degree murder and will be held without bond.
