With all that you just heard...your priority is making sure we don't discuss the Circle K? That is the LAST thing on my mind for sure!!!!
I'm curious to know what he has to say for himself but honestly, I can't imagine what he could possibly say to the Shunicks...don't know if I could or would ever read it if I were in their place. Such nonsense and so disturbing...
In the plea statement on pg 2 it states life imprisonment with hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, suspension of sentence...thank God! You made me look for that one!
Was anything said about what happened to Lisa?
Poor Mickey. You are a hero for fighting so hard. Because of you the SOB has been caught and he cannot hurt anyone else ever again. Fly high, sweet girl.
I think it is probably Adam from TD, maybe they didn't mention his name, and he isn't really a friend...might have used that term. If you read the TD post he stated that BSL talked about getting stabbed.
Ok, I'm home now. I was there, scribbling away. Here is what Stutes said regarding Mickey:
She was seen on video on Ryan St. and on St. John @ intersection with University. She crossed over University to St. Landry at 1:48 a.m. BSL was driving south on University on the inside lane. He moved to the outside lane of University and took a quick turn onto St. Landry. He was driving around calling escort services and headed toward Blackham. He followed Mickey through a residential area, and about midway between Dean & Colesieum, he struck Mickey. She was thrown from her bike. He had a knife and a semi-automatic handgun in his truck. He approached her and told her to get in the truck. He either enticed, persuaded, or forced her into the front passenger's seat and put the bike in the bed of his truck. He drove to many other places (which were not stated). She grabbed her cellphone to call for help, he pulled the knife out, she sprayed him with mace, he got the mace, she got his knife and stabbed him, causing 'life-threatening wounds' and cut tendons on his hand/finger(s). He got the knife back and stabbed her 4 times. She fell over. He drove 30-40 minutes away to a sugarcane field where he was going to dispose of her and leave. She jumped up after having gotten the knife again and stabbed him in the chest. He shot her in the head, killing her instantly. He drove home with her in the passenger seat. He cleaned up and took her to the cemetery, but he couldn't dig because his hand was too badly injured. He then hid her body in the tree line and covered her with leaves and branches and drove home. At 8 the next morning, he called a friend in NOLA and left at 11 a.m. to go visit said friend. On the way, he threw the bike in the water and threw the knife in a dumpster in NOLA. (I couldn't hear what was said about the gun, if anything). On May 20, he returned from NOLA and went to the cemetery where he buried Mickey. He then went back home and burned evidence, including her book bag, and disposed of her Ipod.
God Bless God Bless God Bless that little girl and her family. She fought like the dickens.
Shout out to a fellow WSer who sat behind me!
Nothing that most of us will ever do in our lives will ever approach the importance of what Mickey did in death. What a strong young woman! As heartbreaking as today's news is, I am so very proud of her. You got him, Mickey! In your last act on earth, you got him! Rest well, precious lady.
