Did you know you can search on Myspace if you have an account? I set one up recently with no information, just so I could snoop. When you go to search on Myspace for "Alysson Bennett", this girl you are referring to comes up. I say 99.99% sure these are two in the same.


Do you know if LE is aware of this?
 
I contacted the Citrus Heights Police Department, simply because there is too much similarity to Allyson to let it go. How many people thought Shawn Devlin looked like Shawn Hornbeck and did nothing???? I can't have that on my conscience. Anyways, I talked to a very nice officer who took the initial information, agreed that it was extremely interesting, and said she wasn't sure if the case was closed or not because the paperwork is not clear on that. She forwarded me to the officer who did a supplement to her case in August 2006 and I left a message with my contact info and the link to the myspace page. The initial officer said I should get a phone call back in a few days, as it is a Friday afternoon. She did confirm that MOST missing persons cases involving a person aged 21 and up is voluntary missing. I did request to be contacted as to her current status (missing, voluntary missing, endangered, located/recovered etc.) so I can pass it along to fellow Websleuthers.

Excellent digging BTW, I'm curious if you are searching myspace for missing persons in general or did it just jump out at you? Kudos to the find!

I agree. I think it's her. (I worked for a photography studio at one time, as well.)

I think this is the life she's chosen & her family doesn't agree with it, so she's chosen to go away from them. And her "pimp" could've helped with the wording on her profile. Oftentimes, that type of a profile will illicit a certain type of response that the myspace person is trying to "fish" for. In other words, walking the streets without having to physically walk them.

No offense, but there's no way to tell the height of someone by their picture.

Tom is actually the man who came up with and owns myspace.com. He is everyone's first friend. You can choose to keep him as a friend or delete him. Nothing unusual, I promise.

As stated earlier, when you set up a myspace account, you automatically start with one "friend" (so you don't show up as a loser, I think!) :rolleyes: and you can click on your friend, "Tom" as sort of a help button. EVERYONE starts out with Tom. You have the option to delete him as your "friend".
 
As far as the girl goes, the photos were done in 2004 and could have surfaced anywhere on the web. The mumbo jumbo bs on this page tells me it was written probably by a younger male and he most likely grabbed those pics off the internet to use...but he could be aware of the missing girl and using the name with them. I would say he doesn't know her whatsoever and it is really sad for her to be out there in that way...but if she is voluntarily missing...only she can do anything about it.

Myspace isn't concerned with their details being correct such as age or anything. Most of the people on Myspace don't know but a small percentage of the friends they have listed. The majority of Myspace users are there for the music and their real life friends to chat with...tho most have moved on to other sites such as Facebook and a few others because of all the junk going on with Myspace such as hackers and people bothering them. It isn't a reliable source for information at all. You never know who you are really dealing with online, but in particular, on Myspace.

The photos on the Myspace page. If you look at the bottom of the photos, you can see the name of the studio and the year they were taken. (It was long before she went missing, I believe.)
 
I figured you meant those. I was wondering what it said at the bottom, my eyes aren't all that anymore when it comes to reading fine print... lol.

Alysson went missing on July 16, 2006.
 
Hi, I'm new to the site, but I found this topic interesting because I believe the girl in the picture is the girl that is missing. And looking at the signature on the photos "Yomon's Photo", I scoured the internet and only came up with one source and I believe that from what I see it seems that Yomon is a pimp or running an escort service. It's hard to get info because they hide it, but look at this and tell me what you think.

This redbook site seems like it's all about adult entertainment and hookers and such. And the name Yomon was mentioned once or twice. One of the times they referred to "one of Yomon's girls", which leads me to think, coupled with the pictures, it seems this girl is involved in some prostitution ring or something. They mentioned a yahoo group, but you can't get access unless you are a member, so I couldn't find anything else out.

Just wanted to add what I found...I sure hope LE does something. Maybe she is not really in this voluntarily.

I also looked at the link you posted, and I definately believe it's a prostitution ring.. Also.. I find this interesting:
He is speaking about pictures he just took of her, then makes this comment
"I have a few good ones now and will post them in several hours, but may not do so publically (I will explain later). I will post them in my Yahoo Group. I need to talk to her more about this."
Could this be because she knows people are looking for her?
