Why did LE seem to think Nelly might be with Janeth?

The sexual assault of Anna occurred on September 21st.
Then, Janeth went missing on October 28th.
Anna and Nelly both went missing on November 13th.

As we know, Anna was murdered. Nelly was found today in Tijuana, Mexico, and is being questioned. Will we ever find out the whole story?

Is there any reason these events connect the three girls? That's what I want to know. Where's Janeth, and is she safe?

I wonder why LE is connecting Janeth with Nelly's disappearance too. It seems that they made a connection the day after Anna's body was found. This attached bulletin about Janeth was issued November 19, although Janeth was reported missing October 28. They must have information connecting the three girls somehow since Anna was found. I need to go back and read whether LE actually ever said Nelly might be with Janeth, because it's about two weeks between their disappearances. I hope she is safe and not dead.

She was not the victim of any crime and was not injured in any way, according to police. She will reunite with and be cared for by her mother.

So she's not a victim in any way. That sounds highly suspect. Especially since they haven't detained her either.

Ok this is where I always get into trouble. I saw on Anna's facebook a reference to a tj club. Is it possible they frequented the clubs in tj? They are young girls but in a way not. Anna's fb mentions wanting a tattoo and the other girl has 3.

The pic I am referring to was very risque, if any of you have found her fb. It's the pic of a woman's breasts covered in a sheer bra and showcasing nipple piercings that look like angels wings. One of her friends said you got that pic from that one club in tj, all the girls have it done, did you get yours. I would screenshot but that breaks the rules. If I've broken different rules please let me know because I'm still learning around here.

So it appears that she went to Tijuana voluntarily, unless saying she is not a victim is for her protection. I wonder how she got there. And why? We may never know. I hope she cooperates with LE if she knows anything about Anna, but I'm not holding my breath. Thank goodness her grandfather found her and brought her to the border.

Well there is voluntarily and voluntarily under duress. I'm not sure if she ran or if she fleed. Such a weird case. And we still don't entirely know these two girls are linked together as far as being missing or runaways together nor linked to Anna's murder.

True that. Either way, it doesn't sound like she was being trafficked, which was my big concern. Now they need to find Janeth and hopefully the pieces will start to come together.

She could be a witness to, or have knowledge of, who killed Anna (and/or possibly Janeth), but still not be a victim, nor bear any responsibility.

Anna's body was found just yards from her home. Perhaps she saw Anna being killed, or her body being placed in the ravine, and ran to Tijuana where she thought she'd be safe with friends.

I missed your post earlier. So far, you're doing fine with the rules. You can even post a link to Anna's FB page here and on her thread. I haven't found it yet, so I'd appreciate it. I haven't found SM for any of the three girls yet.

I think the arrest was her. I could be wrong. But the wording by a local reporter made me think that. She clearly said a person has been arrested, his or her name won't be released, purposefully gender neutral.
