I don't know what to think. So many possibilities come to mind and we don't have enough solid info to sort them out.

a] He relapsed and went into rehab and has not contacted anyone
b] He relapsed and is on a bender and has not contacted anyone
c] He relapsed and OD'd and has not been discovered yet
d] He relapsed and felt hopeless and committed suicide somewhere?
e] He relapsed and was robbed/abducted by someone?
f] He didnt relapse but was a crime victim?
g] He didnt relapse but he is voluntarily missing

Any other options?

I am leaning towards b or e.

He relapsed and is on a bender and has not contacted anyone
or
He relapsed and was robbed/abducted by someone?

IMHO, the only other option that I think we should add is that we should be sending this man and his family prayers, or good vibes, positive thoughts and all of those sorts of things.
JMO.

Whatever the case may be, we send good thoughts, hopeful wishes and prayers out to his friends and family, in hopes he is found safe and sound.

Wait wait hold up. Did he try to text 9-1-1 the service or text the numbers "911" to someone?

Text 9 1 1 | Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department

I'm actually surprised that L.A County implemented a text-to-911 service in May 2020.

Bill Text - AB-1168 Emergency services: text to 911.

A CA law mandates that emergency services must implement some form of a text-to-911 service by January 1, 2021.

I actually had never heard of this, I just assumed that you still needed to talk to them on a voice call.
So he had the option to text 911 emergency services instead of calling 911 emergency services. Why are all the posts about an overdose or desire to use drugs? Not trying to be snarky but I don't think people typically call or text 911 to say "send help I feel like I want to do drugs or I just overdosed." Seems to me a text to 911 would indicate he was in immediate physical danger. MOO

I wonder if had any known enemies, or had received any threatening text, emails, etc. recently. He walks out of a store in a safe area and shortly thereafter sent a 911 text. Did he immediately recognize someone and knew he was in danger and quickly sent the text? Just speculating and all moo. It's just very strange.

There seems to be a lot of debate over this text. A text sent to emergency services at 911 is very different to me compared to sending a text to a friend saying “911”. The first is a huge red flag while the latter could be needing them to contact emergency services but could also be an SOS text sent between friends that is relatively minor and not actually conducive to contacting 911. Does anyone have a link to support the text theory either way?

I think because there is some confusion about that text and whether it was sent to a friend or was texted to the actual 911 dispatch centre.

The posts about 'relapsing' came about because of the missing person's business model. He created a company based upon the ability to send out '911' messages to a support network, that one could reach out to in case one is feeling vulnerable to temptation. A way to get instant support when one is most vulnerable to a relapse.

I am still not clear about where that '911' text was sent. I have seen conflicting reports so I need to have it clarified before I can whittle down my scenarios.

There is a new poster on fb but when I try to paste the link it just appears as Facebook.com however, this article explains that he texted a message to 911 but never responded to their efforts to reach him back. Beau Mann Sober Grid founder Missing; His Age, Family, Last Seen & Description | Glob Intel | Celebrity News | Sports | Tech The newer poster also says the message to 911 was to let them know he was in an Uber.

Oh man. Based on this info I really hope they’ve thoroughly checked that uber driver.

That's a start. Uber introduced some kind of safety thing in their app (if either the driver or the passenger becomes agitated), I wonder why he wouldn't active that first instead of texting 9-1-1?

Also, it would seem to be pretty easy to verify through app details (likely doable by LE) if the driver was at the apt complex when the drive ended.

I do not think this has anything to do with drugs.

I think he was caught in a bad situation in the Uber, and had just enough time to text 911, but was unable to reach them again.

It also does not strike me as odd that he texted 911 instead of using the Uber security line.
Speaking for myself, if my life is in danger, I would definitely instinctively contact the police in any way I can before opening the uber app.

A search of social media does fill in some of the pieces of missing info - i.e. he was living in the LA area when he went missing. Apparently he is a good friend of Abigail Anastasio who is a District Court Judge, 184th district in the State of Texas. She a public figure and has been posting about him missing: Log in or sign up to view
Bumping my post from last week with the link to Abigail Anastasio’s FB page.

This case is so strange. If he had his own vehicle, that was at his apt., how did he get to Studio City? Why didn't he drive his car there? Why was he in Studio City? <modsnip> Sorry, just racking my brain on what could have happened to this man. All moo.

ADMIN NOTE:

Regarding whether Beau entered an Uber or not ... I can't locate any MSM or info from LE that stipulates that. The only place I can find that referenced is on the We Help Find The Missing FB page that is not a WS approved page at this time. Based on the Uber reference, and because there are no other approved missing persons support pages for Beau, I was trying hard to find a way that we could justify an approval of that page when I noticed something else:

The page also references a NAMUS #MP87376. Searching on NAMUS, both under that file number and/or by simply using Beau's name, nothing comes up. A simple Google of MP87376 brings up no relevant results. If someone else can track that down, that would be wonderful. Let us know.

There could be an explanation, but when we see little indications that make us doubt the accuracy of information on a missing person page, unless a family member is part of the Admin or Mod team, we do not approve it.

At this time, we are unable to verify the Uber information one way or another, so unless it appears in MSM, from LE, or in a WS approved missing person support page where family members are part of the Admin/Mod team, please move on from that discussion.

Thanks.
