I like this Z! It's so heart-full as you are! Fantastic job :)

A lot of Love and Prayers are going to be sent to Fontelle today. I hope she spends today, for a little while, stepping outside of this nightmare, back into the bliss she had for those 3 weeks. I hate the thought that this special day is shrouded in so much pain.

June 29th, 2013.

Thinking of you on your fourth wedding anniversary, Mr and Mrs Harrod.

I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold
Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee, give recompense.

Thinking of you on your anniversary again, Mr and Mrs Harrod. I figured more than one message is okay because of all the different time zones.

There are two little hydrangeas planted in a quiet little corner of Germany now, marking the wedding anniversary of a lovely couple way across the world in California. I hope they thrive. They have had plenty of water today, and I didn't need a watering can.

Amazing everyone. What a beautiful tribute to Bob and Fontelle's deep love for one another. The Tribute at the bobharrodmissing.com page, the wreath and the poem all simply amazing.

I waited until near the end of the day just so Mrs. Harrod knows she and Bob were thought of throughout the day.

Absolutely lovely, both the quote and the wreath. Your wreath is totally charming.

Just beautiful, z. You have a knack for sure.

I cant come up with the right words today-Mrs Harrod is a hero for pushing through. There was no way for her to imagine this nightmare 4 years ago-it breaks my heart to imagine the joy of this day in 2009 and to see where she is now.

People are doing their level best to bring him home to you, Ma'am. I hope this day doesnt bring you too much pain.

I'd like to add that you gave him the last completely happy day of his life; the courage, tenacity and spark you have displayed over these last four years are all part of the reasons he loved you for over 60 years.

Happy 4th Wedding Anniversary to Bob and Fontelle Harrod

I hope Fontelle knows how much we are about her and Bob and how much we want answers for her.

Fontelle is such a strong, noble lady who has kept the memory of her missing husband in the forefront. I hope and pray that Bob comes home soon so they can be reunited.

California is all over the news here with the temperatures. I looked up Placentia for today and it's 98F, and Las Vegas is 115F!! Placentia is going to drop to the 80s later in the week, but that is still hot, hot hot to me.

I want Bob found but I hope nobody is out hiking or geocaching in temperatures like that, because I can imagine them needing help themselves if the heat gets to them.

I'm hoping not, but fearing that weather like this will make wildfires in CA much more likely? I haven't looked them up actually - they may have already started. The BBC's idea of getting across how hot it is in Vegas was to repeatedly show a clip of an Elvis impersonator on the street, wiping his brow, for some strange reason.

I hope Mrs Harrod has air-conditioning, even though we already know she is very good at staying cool in a crisis.

I'm going to try and keep track of any fires in 'our' areas, because they will affect the search for Bob.

ETA: Weather link here, with safety tips. But when you click on it, it's all about floods. There must be better advice for Californians....

And the wildfires are already well underway - I just hadn't noticed. 'A particularly destructive start' and worse is anticipated. :(

I don't know how a person would collect all the info about fires taking place in SoCal. I suppose there must be a map that charts them, somewhere. 95 per cent are human-caused. And I guess a tiny, tiny percentage of those are to try and cover up a crime.

Yes, everyone in SoCal, please stay safe. We don't want any weather related tragedies so please head those warnings!

It's definitely HOT here. I live closer to the beach so it's not as hot for me. I've been running the a/c and staying indoors. Inland, where Bob was from is hotter. Elisnore was 111 yesterday. And we have had some fires out here.

They have set up "cooling centers" for people to escape to if they lose power.

The trick is to lay low, limit activity, try to do errands either early morning or in the evening and stay out of the thick of it.

It is good to have the local info. Those cooling centers sound such a good idea. I guess despite that, emergency and rescue services will be pretty stretched at the moment with the inevitable casualties, so I do hope anyone out and about in the natural terrain is very well prepared, and very careful.

I suppose the fire departments and forest rangers are being very watchful and keeping an eye out too - I wonder if there is a way of reminding those in likely areas that Bob is still missing and needs to come home?

Actually where I am right now, it's overcast, cloudy and cool. It's really humid like it's going to rain. No a/c today. Just June Gloom.

People are going to do what they are going to do. In pleasant temps like the 80s with low to mid-range humidity, you see people out and active all the time according to the California Boy (my husband). In general, as the temps go up the humidity goes down so that there is fairly dramatic cooling and many people shift their outdoor activities to very early mornings, late evenings or even night.

When temps are really high, people often shift their outdoor activities to early mornings or late evenings.

I hope Mrs Harrod has air-conditioning, even though we already know she is very good at staying cool in a crisis.

According to the California Boy, there is very little housing in central and southern California that does not have air conditioning. Either regular air conditioning or swamp coolers (dry outside air pulled through a water soaked filter to lower the temperature and increase the humidity).

Missouri can get very hot in the summer with temps in the 90s F and even topping 100 F but it is also extremely humid. It's like walking around in someone else's sweat. Much less pleasant to me than places like Albuquerque or Las Vegas that can be really hot but with very little humidity.

Natives of the area would know best but I doubt it is necessary to do anything specific to remind firefighters and rangers to keep an eye out for Bob. They keep an eye out for human remains, just part of their jobs.

When they find human remains, California's database for people reported missing is one of the first resources that are consulted.

I suspect that this has already been done, z ;)
