I find it interesting that one of Bob's daughters felt a need to go change the sheets on the bed prior to Fontelle's arrival but AFTER the housekeeper had already been there and AFTER Bob had gone missing.
It seems to me that the housekeeper likely would have changed the linens when she was there that day. Since Bob was missing by the time the housekeeper arrived at the house, and had the housekeeper changed the linens, then Bob's bed would not have been slept in again.

Why would the bed linens need to be changed again when no one had presumably used the bed in the interim?

BBM
I also have been mulling over that detail. It does not make sense, yet I believe it has some kind of importance. I wouldnt have thought anything of it if she had said she was going down to wait for/ look for her father! To change linens, though?? Uh-uh...

"Dad's missing -- what should I do? Hm....maybe make sure the housecleaner changed his sheets!"

JMO, but it seems like a pretty good opportunity for someone to get access to his house to give it a quick search before LE does. I'm pretty sure I'd read that Bob had some notes on his estate around his place -- some of which suggested how he wanted Fontelle in it. But someone might also want access to ensure that nothing in his place suggested a murder or abduction. Was it R who went over there?

It was daugther JM who made the post re: changing the linens.

I was wondering if maybe a sheet was pulled off the bed and Bob was wrapped in it before being removed from the house. And then later the SIL told the housekeeper not to worry about cleaning Bob’s room to keep her away from noticing anything.

And that maybe police had questions about that. So daughter JM inserted it into the sentence as a way to explain why she “changed the sheets” the day after Bob went missing. It was posted on 8/4 on ROTW. The way that comment is awkwardly inserted in the sentence makes no sense at all, IMO. It’s right after a post by someone saying they didn’t realize law enforcement was looking at her husband.

Oh, of course. That was also the daughter who suggested that Bob left "...we're thinking maybe 1, noon?" (Presumably, since she said 'we' and was looking at someone off-camera, she was confirming this with the SiL?)

Something about the way she discusses this (troublesome) point of the timeline, and the way she mentions his disappearance have always seemed off to me.

Perhaps. I got the impression the reporter’s question about the time caught her off-guard, and so she looked away. She seems nervous and forced in the video, IMO.

She posted “I went dth to get the house ready, linens changed for he and his wife” instead of say, “We rushed back to Bob’s house…,” so I wonder what time this was, where the SIL was, and did he go back to Bob’s house after the missing person’s report was filed or the next morning?

Daughter PB posted on another forum “had nephew try to go through garage on Tuesday…”

So at a minimum, daughter JM and her son (Bob’s grandson) were at Bob’s on Tuesday, the day after he went missing. Not sure if that is daughter PB’s white minivan in the driveway next to Bob’s car in the video filmed the day after he went missing (at your link).

I wonder when and where the PPD questioned SIL about events on Monday?

Am I understanding this correctly: The DNA has been collected from the family, but has simply not yet been entered into CODIS?

LE has DNA but we don't know were they are in the process with Codis.

Again?? I wonder what their criteria is for closing down threads...can anyone make a copy of the cached thread?? I wont be home until tomorrow, so I can't do it.

The thread in question was only locked/closed, but not deleted or removed like the previous one (*although, many posts were deleted from the thread before it was locked*).

Got it, including all deleted. I also have screenshots of the changes the daughters have made to Mr. Harrod's Facebook page.

When did any family member first go back to the house? Did anyone go the night of the 27th? I have never heard that any family member went rushing over to Mr. Harrod's house the night he disappeared.

We know that some family members were there during the day on July 28th. That does look like P's van in the driveway, so we have PB, JM, and the grandson at the house on the 28th. I wonder if the SIL returned as well. If not, why not?

I keep going back to the well being check-was this a function of the original missing persons report I wonder? I mean, someone had to check on Bob first, right, before a MP report could have been called in by Fontelle...who was in Kansas IIRC.

If we take the family at their word, none of them went to Bob's house to look for him after SIL left.

Daughter RB posted on another forum that she placed a welfare check call that night (we don't know the time). That's when the PPD went over. It sounds like they checked, didn't see any signs of foul play or struggle, and left (not sure if they went into the house).

Daughter JM called Fontelle and Fontelle filed the missing person's report. Rumor is that the time the missing person's report was filed was 12:22AM Pacific DST.

I wonder if, after the missing person's report was filed (rumor 12:22AM), did any of the daughters, SIL, or Bob's grandson go to Bob's house then? Or did nobody go there until later after the sun was up? I also want to know if SIL went back to Bob's house on Tuesday at all or if he stayed at his house in Running Springs.

CAExile, I have a few questions if you can answer:

  • I believe you said Bob's long-time housekeeper came to clean every other Monday.
  • Do you know if she had been there the Monday before? I think you said you left for VA the Monday before but not sure if you left early in the day.
  • What time did the housekeeper usually start work? Was it usually 3PM or earlier, say Noon/1PM?
  • How long did she usually stay when she cleaned Bob's house?

Daughter RB posted on another forum on Aug 10 that the housekeeper, SIL, and family members had been questioned, except herself. And that her turn was on Tuesday, which would have been Aug 11.

That means she wasn’t questioned until 15 days after Bob went missing. I wonder when the others were questioned?

from forensic astrology forum: correct time:

Central Daylight Savings Time was 2:22 a.m. on the 28th of July. That yields 0:22 Pacific Daylight Savings Time, which is 11:22 p.m. on the 27th of July where the call was rec'd in Placentia and that is the time we wanted. You could correct the CDST to 1:22 a.m. before subtracting the two hour difference to reach California standard time but the result is the same, the time we want is 11:22 p.m. at Placentia. 2:22 by Fontelle's clock is when she called but her clock was reading daylight savings time. She did not read her clock, however. She just phoned and guessed at the time.

I made the corrections for my report to Websleuths and analysed the changes it made in the chart which will not be re-drawn for me or anyone else.

Time verified with PPD.

I remember that post by R. She said the police "saved the best for last" when posting about her upcoming questioning session. I found that to be a strange comment.

That is an odd statement when we are talking about the disappearance of an 81 year old???

She cleaned on Mondays or another day during the week? Because I am leaning towards her arrival being an unexpected one, so I would think that she was expected another day. JMO.
