Amen to that last post! The thanks button was not enough of a comment here.

I understand why, but boy, this really depresses me. I cant believe nobody will come forward and tell what they know. This elderly man deserves to be laid to rest by his loved ones. Fontelle needs to have answers. I can only hope that LE will be stepping in very shortly and making an arrest.

Bob does need to be found. Those responsible need to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Respectfully, even if an arrest or arrests were made, and a perp or perps convicted, unless Bob is found, his case would still remain in the missing area of the forum. Whether it be here, or in the MBNFD.

Take for example Ashley LaShay Jones MP case. In her case a family member was convicted and has been sentenced - and the conviction upheld upon appeal, even though sadly, Ashley has never been found.

Eventually that may be the case for Bob as well.

Praying as usual that Bob is found and those responsible are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Very soon, Bob's thread will be moved to the Missing But Not Forgotten discussion forum. Don't lose him! There will be a redirect for a while, but after that, you can find him in that forum.

Hoping for answers in Bob's case soon.

We will always be here seeking justice for Robert Harrod. It may take time but justice will come.

Another article about the skeletal remains found Saturday in Palm Springs.

Officials haven’t determined whether the person was male or female, but the bones appear to have been there for at least three years.

Palm Springs police are now looking through unsolved reports of missing persons to determine the identity.

Bob's been missing for close to 3 years. They're not always accurate with an estimated time of death. This is going to be sad news for the family of some missing person. Praying the identity of this person is found soon.

I'll be starting a thread for this case in the UID forum shortly if one is not already started.

Thanks Cubby!

I'm on pins and needles each time I read that remains have been found in that area of the state.

My heartfelt prayers for the family that receives the terrible news. I wish I could think of something that would lift the hearts of those that will spend the holidays fearing/hoping for news of their loved one.

And always - prayers for Fontelle and Bob

SKY VALLEY — Investigators are trying to identify the skeletal remains of a man discovered Tuesday in Sky Valley.

A hiker found the bones several miles north of Thousand Palms Canyon and Dillon roads about 3:25 p.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

This is not the same set of remains found Saturday.

Thanks for the info. Snipped from another article:

The hiker called Riverside County Sheriff's Department dispatch reporting human bones a few miles north of Thousand Palms Canyon and Dillon roads about 3:30 p.m. Monday, sheriff's Sgt. Todd Torrenti said.

Homicide detectives are conducting a "suspicious death" investigation, the sergeant said. The Riverside County Coroner's Office had not determined the person's identity, age, and cause and date of death.

Still wondering about those "home repairs", "small projects", etc. that were supposedly being done at Mr. Harrod's house by JeM the day Mr. Harrod vanished.

Funny how Mr. Harrod's daughters, who have been very active posting on the WWW, never could answer exactly what those "home repairs" were.

Yep, for persons who claim to be interested in discovering the truth about what happened to their father it's very particular why the home repairs have remained secret and the timeline remains all over the place.

I'm sure the reason the home repairs remain a secret is because the daughters KNOW, whatever the repairs are, they are VERY incriminating against the last person to see Bob alive.

I'll add this. If this case isn't solved in this life, it will be in the next. The repercussions in the next life are far worse than even the worst case scenario from the authorities in this life. Justice will be served for Bob either way.

Merry Christmas Mr. Harrod, wherever you are...I am holding out hope that 2012 provides all of the answers....the ones we dont have the answers to that is.

Merry Christmas, Mrs. Harrod-know that you and those who miss Bob are in my prayers.

Peace to all who continue to soldier on here...

Interesting successful no body murder conviction, I just saw in another thread.

CHANDLER, AZ (KPHO) -
It's something you don't see very often: a murder trial in which police still haven't found a body.

Thursday marked the first day of Bryan Stewart's trial.

He's charged with second-degree murder, accused of killing his girlfriend, Jamie Laiaddee, of Chandler.

"There's no blood. There's no hairs. There's no body," said Stewart's attorney, Marie Farney.

http://www.kpho.com/story/15745659/murder-trial-starts-with-no-body

According to the victims Charley Project page, the trial is over and the perp was convicted of second degree murder after only 4 hours of deliberation by a jury.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/l/laiaddee_jamie.html

The above may be a case Detective Radomski and the Orange County, CA prosecutors office might want to take a much closer look at and compare to the evidence they have in Mr. Harrods case.

Even though the body of his victim was never found, a former Chandler man was sentenced to 42 years in prison Thursday for second-degree murder and fraud in her death.

Valentini had been sentenced Wednesday to 12 years in prison on other fraud charges. He must serve the sentences consecutively, bringing his total prison term to 54 years

http://tucsoncitizen.com/arizona-news/2011/12/22/man-gets-42-years-in-chandler-womans-death/

Sentencing was yesterday.

Hmm. Anyone think there has been fraud in Bobs case? :innocent:

The above driving times seem to fit with the known timeline from the last call Bob received at appx 10:00 am the morning of his disappearance and the time the well being check was called to PPD.

I'd love to know what time SIL JeM arrived home to Running Springs that evening and how close the time of arrival was to the time PPD was called for a well being check. (Though, I'm sure that info will remain a heavily guarded secret with Bobs blood family and the SIL, just like the 'home repairs/odd jobs' and the target of the timeline.)
