She is articulate and observant. From her writing alone, it doesn't seem that she would be very gullible. I wonder if her lawyers know about these missives. It could come back to bite her in the butt.
Yeah, I can't picture any of that helping her in trial. She really is painting herself as the victim of ... well, everything. She doesn't want to conform to the system. (Bad idea while incarcerated.) Doesn't show a lot of insight into how she ended where she is.

Agree with earlier post, will be interesting to see what the prosecutor brings against her for evidence. They sounded pretty confident they had a strong case on all three. Cell phone location pings maybe?

Sort of surprised there isn't more coverage in the news.

I am VERY surprised there isn't a reporter live tweeting the trial. I have looked and looked. It has all of the hallmarks of being a headline making trial and yet, there's hardly anything. Strange.

From the article:

"In his presentation, Espinoza listed various pieces of evidence including multiple cell phone records (text messages, location indicators, etc.) and video surveillance footage from a variety of locations that support the prosecution’s case.

It was also revealed that various writings by the two female suspects will be presented to the jury, indicating their obsession with violently killing an unknowing victim for their pleasure."

According to Deputy District Attorney Patrick Espinoza, a stun baton found in the back of Perez's SUV had the victim's DNA on it. A plastic sheet in the back of Perez's car also had the victim's blood on it, Espinoza told the jury.

Lopez's attorney, Sloan Ostbye, told jurors that her client was a victim to a "slave" contract she entered into with Maraglino in the bondage and sadomasochistic world. Ostbye presented Lopez as a patsy, an abused servant forced to take the blame for a crime she did not commit.

"She was known as 'money *****,"' Ostbye said. "Her role was not unsimilar (sic) to that of a dog."

Perez's attorney, Brad Patton, told the jury that Lopez committed the murder.

"Our daughter was a beautiful young woman, inside and out," Kilgore's mother said. "And unfortunately, she ran across people that were not good ... were monsters, and took her life. She is going to be missed for the rest of our lives."

:rose: Rest in Peace, Brittany.

It's nice to finally see justice in her case. The two who did this dirty crime didn't age well, I guess jail doesn't agree with them.

Jail probably doesn't agree with anyone, unless they were homeless before.

Think all three of the defendants had a hand in this. Vicious group of people, there.
