In reply to Cluciano63.

I understand their reasons and their need to hope too. I think, if Bryce is alive out there, the new flyer might work.

If he is not, a delay in continuing searches for his body might not damage his chances of being brought home too much, I think.

I don't know if Bryce's loved ones have access to information indicating he is probably alive; I hope so. I am sure they are doing all that they can cope with at this time though, and that their suffering is beyond my comprehension. If Bryce is not found over the coming weeks, I think Lake Castaic has to be searched. Again and again, and the terrain around it. Until then though, I am just hoping from the bottom of my heart that this approach will work, and he will come home to them safely.

And this too, "Skull found in Will County" reported on October 11, 2013.
The article mentions a bunch of excuses why nobody should be concerned about a human skull being found.
So, do any of the news outlets every follow up on these stories? It's been over a month since this human skull was found in Illinois. I've checked for updates about it every week since then.
If the news isn't going to close their open ended stories, why bother to report the information at all?
Our system is too closed off from the public imo. It is painful to care when no answers ever seem to be shared with the general public.
Like, so what?, a human skull was found laying around and no one can say who it belonged too.
Quit being nosy people!!!!

They don't want loads of people phoning up and reminding them it could be Robin Renea Abrams. She was involved in a suit against the local sheriff's office when she disappeared, and the married deputy she had broken off an affair with.

I'd say she's high profile, but maybe they think fifty miles is just too far away for a murderer to travel?

Correction. 30 miles.

As long as it does not backfire, as in it kind of makes it sound like he is out there, reacting like a 12-year old who ran away because he might be in trouble. If he is alive and okay, he might be offended and choose to stay away. I just have not seen a poster like that for a 19-year old man, I guess. But I understand their reasons and their hoping. I wish I felt he was alive and able to see their posts. Always, JMO.

While I agree with what you're saying, I also think it's worth a shot at this point. I don't know if it'll help, but I don't see it making the situation worse after this much time has passed.

Just putting in my 2 cents, when I read 4 people's remains the Mcstays come to my mind. Or drug deal gone bad.
And speaking of gruesome discovery http://www.theolympian.com/2013/11/13/2826973/more-human-remains-found-on-nisqually.html

http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/story/23950035/human-remains-found-near-arizona-utah-border Many people many corpses. Very sad there's such a violence

Since two of you have mentioned them here, and this was just breaking news on our news...they actually are looking into it being the McStay family!

BREAKING: Sources: Investigators looking into possibility remains found near Victorville are those of McStay family bit.ly/19owwwQ

Honestly I'm a bit in a shock that I was so right.I read about it before the link was posted here, because I still googling few times a day for bodies or remains have found. This is a tragic outcome but not surprising for me, (sorry) On the other hand the parents now know they're not fleed voluntary. To putting in my cents again, I think the root of all evil is close to the family and shot them. This was a set up.. Soo damn sad and you can see police work was totally wrong. Now I hope LE will do an amazing job and find out who did this and or gave the order.Forcing them to leave the house, drove the suv to the boarder.

Good call. I know, so many thought they just took off to start a new life just like what so many think in Bryce's case. I just feel somehow there is foul play involved here as well. He was in BW for such a long period of time that just doesn't make sense to me. His very bizarre behavior according to Kslyfoxy and all his important belongings he just up and left behind. It's been 2 1/2 months. I hate to say it but I feel something very bad has happened to poor Bryce. It's my gut feeling and I'm sorry for feeling this way. I just don't think he would do this to his family and friends.

I don't think I really believed the McStay family just up and walked away, but I sure wish they had.

My condolences to their family and friends. I am sorry for your loss.

I'm not really a "Websleauth" and haven't followed any cases except Bryce's. Now I'm going to have to read up on the McStay's and find out their back story. How sad and SCARY for those poor children! Rest in peace little angels.

I've never once thought Bryce met with foul play, however, for some reason your comment is making me rethink his disappearance and the circumstances surrounding it. Thanks a lot White! :scared:

FWIW My mama taught me that I never have to apologize for the way I feel and you shouldn't either.

I agree, it almost makes it sound like Bryce is mentally challenged, but think about it. Maybe he is/was currently in a mentally challenged state due to a head injury. On the off chance that Bryce is/was behaving erratically due to a concussion, and that Bryce might have told someone about about being chased or caught for wrecking the car or a multitude of other possibilities if he is suffering from a head injury, this new poster tells anyone who might have helped or seen him that if they heard any kind of story that Bryce was in trouble, he isn't. That would make anyone who might have helped him if they were concerned that he was trying to escape a bad situation rethink about reporting if they have seen him.

I'm just thinking that if someone picked up a guy who was disoriented and told a story about having wrecked his parents car and he needed to get to a friends house before it was discovered, there are a lot of people who could relate to being in such a lousy situation and would keep mum. (I know there are a lot of people who will not agree with me, but guys stick together on a lot of things. Keeping other guys out of trouble is one of them)

Thinking of Bryce as I do often and am still perplexed. I wish I could say that I believe he is off and hiding but I don't. I so did at one point. :-( praying he is found safe but is not at leafs found.

Bryce where are you??!! Prayers...

Everything above is JMO!

I think he's waiting for someone to bring him home.

I don't disagree with you at all, but I'm curious if you can expand on this at all within TOS. Do you think he's waiting for a random "someone somewhere" to help him? Someone specific? Someone who might know where he is but that person's scared to come get him for some reason?

My theories all feel so out there at the moment I don't even know what I think anymore. I was just curious what your latest thoughts are. :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to be obscure. My reasons for saying that are very sad and simple.

Bryce seemed to walk away from civilization after he crashed the car, not towards it. He didn't seem to be in any condition to start a new life somewhere, undetected, either. There is a lot of land out there, and people accidentally die in it all the time, even when they are prepared.

I don't think he is able to come home on his own now, so somebody will have to bring him. If searches around Lake Castaic have stopped, then it probably will be a complete stranger who brings him home one day - a kind walker, or hiker; even a biker or fisherman. That is where I feel he is.

There will be sightings as long as appeals go out. There always are. I don't think they will really be Bryce though. People mean well, but they make mistakes.

It's easy for me to come to this devastating conclusion though. It's not my son out there. There is no reason I can think of that Bryce's loved ones should give up hope. They don't need to work on logic or reason or chances, just love. In fact, most missing people do return, so statistics would indicate Bryce is out there somewhere.

It is the circumstances and location of his disappearance that make things appear so bleak for me, but I'll be the happiest person in the world, apart from Bryce's loved ones, to be wrong.

Thanks Zwiebel. I appreciate your expanded thoughts. I bounce around so much on what I think has happened. I totally agree with you that it might be very hard for him to return at this point, whether it's physically, mentally, emotionally, or circumstances. I hope something helps him return.

Separate note... I'm posting this here and to my other Roseville/Rocklin area cases that I've been following. I'm heading out that way again Sat. evening. I'm not comfortable wandering around in the dark by myself, but I'll have hubby with me for most of the time. I'm also comfortable walking in populated areas and looking for posters and such. Is there anything that anyone might want me to look for, or do?

I tend to think Bryce was probably further in Southern CA when he disappeared, but I still wanted to ask.
