Slain tech executive Bob Lee visited a suspected drug dealer's apartment with the sister of his alleged killer just hours before his violent death, The Standard has learned from a source with knowledge of the case.

The apartment is home to a man convicted last year of felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell. Police previously arrested him for allegedly having a range of substances including meth, cocaine, ecstasy, acid and magic mushrooms.

The man accused of stabbing Cash App founder Bob Lee to death in the overnight hours of April 4 is due in court at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Nima Momeni will get a second chance this morning to enter his plea.

There is a misdemeanor battery but it’s August, 2022. He was issued a “citation on suspicion”, whatever that is.
A woman called police from his Emeryville home and said Momeni “grabbed her arm and pulled it, pushed her physically.”
The cops gave her a ride home and prosecutors didn’t file charges.

When EPD officers arrived at the apartment, the woman said she had been living in Momeni’s apartment with his permission. “She met the suspect Nima Momeni about a week ago and he allowed her to stay on his couch at his apartment in exchange for house keeping duties. She denied that she had any dating relationship with Momeni,” an officer wrote.

The woman said she was downstairs in the kitchen when Momeni entered the room and angrily yelled at her. She told a police officer that “Momeni began telling her to get her stuff and leave. Momeni forcefully grabbed her right upper arm and her right side waist area. He then pushed her against a counter.”

Glad to see that Lee's family and supporters are at court today for the NM hearing. Hope there are no more heart hand gestures from NM's family out of respect for the deceased.

BREAKING: The arraignment is postponed one week until May 2. The defense said they need some key documents from discovery, and the assistant district attorney agreed to provide those by the end of this week. Momeni will be held without bail until that hearing.

Also, his family has a lot of money, and he could go anywhere. He's facing a murder charge. I think he's a flight risk.

And, as usual, the NYP can't get the distinction between "jail" and "prison" correctly.

First line of the article is correct, it's not the reporter's fault. It's the headline that's wrong.

Looks like the defense attorney is complaining that she hasn't gotten any records from LE/DA yet. She hasn't seen the arrest warrant. So, I suppose, from her point of view - this isn't a murder until she sees the facts?

Wow, twelve relatives of Bob Lee were in court today, including his children. I really feel for his children, his dad, and brother. So senseless, and by all accounts, he was such a good father and son, brother, etc. What a loss.

I wonder why the defendant's sister didn't show up in court today.

Stabbing someone with a kitchen knife you brought along for the ride is not even a crime according to his lawyer’s NYT’s interview.
This is an overly enthusiastic defense attorney, in my opinion.

So is the defense attorney implying there was drug use and partying by Bob Lee for several days leading up to his death? So what. Is that justification for a death sentence for Bob Lee?

Is she saying that her client is justified in stabbing Bob Lee and then leaving him to stumble around the streets of San Francisco and leave him to die a slow death?

I'm really interested in the source of the knife, did it come from NM's sister's kitchen. I think that is likely. If so, sure sounds like premeditation to me.
