Hello everyone. I was with Bear's mother LeLanie for the past couple days. She did get some news from El Cajon Police Department. The Sargent assigned two more detectives to Bear's case. Not really sure if this means they have new information or they feel that they need to step up because of the show. But either way LeLanie met with them and basically had to start from the beginning and tell them what has been happening in the year and a half that Bear has been missing.
We are hopeful these two detectives can see something and some people to justice. But more importantly to bring Bear's body to LeLanie and she can give her son a proper burial.

There was some previous discussions that I didn't have answers for. I am gonna try to answer them now.

There was a question about Bear being on pain meds because of the condition of Bear's feet from his diabetes. He was taking pain medication as needed. Nothing super strong. Ibuprofin Tyenol and such.
As far as his insulin. He was testing himself around 5 times a day and giving himself whatever was dosage of insulin that was required.
Monies that Bear received because he was a Native American comes from the Casino that his tribe is attached to. How much they all get every month depends on what the casino makes as profit and how many members of the tribe are collecting. Not every Native American is a member of a tribe that is attached to a casino.
The room mates are a big concern to us as well as some of the "after the hookah lounge closed for the night group" that would come over to Bears. The hookah lounge was only up a couple blocks and over a block from Bear's house. So it was a matter of convenience for them to go over there.
LeLanie did ask me to thank everyone for watching the show and discussing the matter here and of course if you have any more questions or ideas to help Bear's case please express them. Prayers are always welcomed.
 
The police may have compared the two. The cell tower that Bear's cell phone last pinged at has a 12 mile radius and that is the cell tower that would be Skylar's let's say "home tower". It is not to far from Skylar's house.I also would love to have access to all the records too.
 
I am not sure if anyone has posted here about Skylar Tosic. I personally know Bear Diaz and that is why I talk about his case. We (Bear's mother Lelanie and I nor does anyone that we know of) know Skylar Tosic personally. Since the airing of the Disappeared show we have met Skylar's mother and her fiance' but never talked with them before.

That's really good news about more detectives assigned to the case. The only way this case is ever going to be solved is by interviewing and reinterviewing the roomates and hookah lounge people, look for inconsistencies in their statements, give lie detector tests and basically shake them down until someone gives up what he knows. I'm hoping justice will be served in this one.
 
I was reading another case based in so cal where per caps were discussed. There was a lot of conflict between members and they were being arbitrarily "disenrolled" so other members could increase their per cap. Let me link you brb. Idk if that could have anything to do w Bear's case, but it could send investigation in another direction if this has been an issue w this band.

There are link's in Kathleen haney's thread describing some issues between members of tribes that have casinos, and her case seems to be connected to some conflict between members of a different tribe but also from so cal.

I wonder if he could have been sucked into a scam/cult type deal that promised him healing? At the height of frustration with medical issues, people are often willing to try anything. If some special group or clinic said they could cure him, maybe he gave his money/tv as payment?
 
Just finished the episode and have to think someone carried him out of his house in his bed sheets. Stole his tv and money. I wonder how they opened the safe, he must have given them the code first?
I also looked for a thread for Skylar but there's none. I wouldnt be so quick to dismiss a connection, the timing is too weird that he vanishes within one day. Practically the same day if Bear went missing in the early hours of the morning. I feel like maybe the person who killed/robbed Bear could have picked Skylar up and ran off with the money. and most likely the tv or sold it. Maybe even Skylar was involved. His weight loss and way he was acting before his disappearance kind of seems like drugs?
Asking for a torch and toilet paper is weird too. maybe going to bury a body or camp out for a couple days?
I feel sorry for Bear he probably just wanted the friends and company but there is too many people who take advantage of nice people and their generosity. I just hope one day he is found.
 
Sad, but I think someone definitely took advantage of this kid's generosity and niceness. My guess is, someone he knew killed him for his money and stole the TV (weird, but his mother did say it was brand new, so probably worth stealing). I'd say the blankets were used to wrap his body. In his condition, he couldn't fight back most likely.

Updating everyone. Unfortunately Bear Diaz is still missing. There have been no new leads. Seems to us that the case has become cold. Prayers are still very much welcomed. The month of August is very tough for Bear's mother, family and friends August 19th is his birthday and August 29th will mark 2 years since Bear went missing.
 
The Detectives need to lean on those roommates and house crashers and shake them. Some of them know exactly what happened.
 
I watched the video posted above about the man that can't remember his name in Mexico and this is not Bear.

I agree mstrbill the detectives need to lean into the roommates and crashers. I am not sure why they haven't as of yet. I think we would get the answers then. Need someone to lean on detectives.

Thanks for watching the Disappeared episode about Bear and Skylar. Somebody has to come forward with information.

I just finished the Disappeared episode on Bear. Please tell his mom I'm praying for the situation. My heart breaks for her (and Skylar's mom). Both are in my prayers.
