I just cannot accept that this monster would steal a newborn just to kill her immediately and throw her in a dumpster. And if it is trur that it is not gang or drug affiliations then what?

I am wondering if it was someone that wanted to sell a newborn on the black market. Reportedly they can bring in hundreds of thousands for a healthy and very young baby Or maybe he wanted the baby for a woman who he loved that lost her baby. MAYBE he intended to take her to be cared for. But perhaps he did not know how to care for her, or what to feed her or not feed her? Could she have died while he was hiding and waiting to cross the border?

There is a special place in hell for people like this. What a bizarre plan to try to fool some poor schmuck into believing he has twins. Wow. I saw this on the news tonight. The officer said that in his write up he wrote the word "evil" many times and had to delete them. He said he couldn't think of another word for what thee people did to that family and his baby girl.

It's still a mystery to us as to why baby Eliza was murdered though. No news on that on the newscast tonight. FWIW.

The arrested D'Milian and McCall are in HUGE trouble. They will be tried for the murder of Baby Eliza, plus for shooting three people, but there will be no mercy for them. They tried again a month later, even though they knew they were responsible for Baby Eliza's death! Imagine, just a month later, D'Milian set-up another attempt to get a baby. McCall beat a woman with a baseball bat in a hotel room to try to kill the mother and steal her baby.

No wonder this story didn't make any sense.

The entire plot is bizarre and stupid.

If they go to the trouble of kidnapping these babies, then why kill one of them ?? Was it an accident of some kind ?

She screwed up big time when she went after the baby of somebody she knew, that was the key evidence that tied all of this together.

"We've never seen anything like this where somebody goes out looking for babies to kidnap and they attempt to kill the mothers," Long Beach Police Chief Robert Luna told a news conference. "These people are just evil in nature."

Three other people were also arrested, including D'Milian's actual daughter, police said.

According to police, D'Milian lied to her married boyfriend that she had given birth to his twins in December while he was out of the country, then schemed with a man identified as Anthony Ray McCall, 29, to kidnap children matching their purported ages.

On Jan. 3, D'Milian and McCall drove separate vehicles following a bus carrying 3-week-old Eliza Delacruz and her mother in Long Beach, police said.

McCall then forced his way into the Delacruz home, shot three adults, and along with D'Milian kidnapped the baby, whose body was found the next day 100 miles to the south in Imperial Beach, police said. Why the baby was killed remained unknown.

Detectives linked the case with one in El Segundo, where a 23-year-old woman was severely beaten with a baseball bat inside a hotel room on Feb. 6. Inside the room was the victim's 4-month-old son, who was not harmed, police said.

McCall was identified as the attacker, while D'Milian knew the victim and was aware she had a child, according to police.

McCall was being held without bail for investigation of murder, kidnapping, attempted murder and conspiracy.

D'Milian's daughter, 29-year-old Charisse Nicole Shelton, was arrested on charges of being an accessory after the fact, along with 43-year-old Todd Damon Boudreaux.

They are set to be arraigned on Friday. It was not immediately known whether they had attorneys.

I can't believe this crazy lady got so many people to help her with her sick plot. I'd love to hear what her boyfriend has to say.

Maybe baby Eliza was killed because after they got a good look at her, they didn't think the boyfriend would buy it? Maybe she didn't look enough like them or the age was too off?

So happy to hear there will be justice for baby Eliza.
