this is my first post, have been lurking a LONG time. but I had to post because this has been bothering me for a couple of days now. And i am not sure I am doing this correctly, so please forgive me if I am not! But on a post on 07/09/15 by Kimi_SFC.... post #838 where she is showing the pictures of the Dads truck.
when he goes to the gas station his tail gate is up.
but the picture that shows him driving by the gas stating an hour later, it appears his tail gate is down.
Forgive me if I am wrong, or if somebody else already pointed this out. :moo:
You are brilliant. I believe we all here in WS overlooked that. No doubt LE picked up on it right away, which probably led them to begin searching that highway - which ultimately led to the discovery of the pacifier. Good eye kristinaT.

kristinaT,

Here are the images you're referring to in your first post here at WS

:)

I'm in total agreement with my fellow WSers, you're very observant and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Baby Ember's case. I hope you stick around, because there are countless cases that could use your talents.

ETA: we still don't know if the timestamps have been confirmed as being "correct" - as in synced to actual clock time.

I think it is decidedly darker in the hour later photo. Compare at the reflections on the buildings in the background. Also, the truck lights are on in the hour later photo.

Lots of bodies of water in and around Ono... =\

Ember made the local news here in Sacramento tonight. I hadn't heard much about her in MSM for awhile so I was glad to see the story. Unfortunately it was a pretty depressing report and I don't think it'll encourage a whole lot more in the way of searches. They basically said she's presumed dead (ouch) and that MG is probably the only one that knew what happened to her. It hurt to listen to, but I was still glad to see/hear her name on the news.

I don't think he threw her pacifier out of his truck. That would have been so freakin stupid. I know, I know, he was a stoned out idiot. But I don't think he would have thrown it out where he disposed of her.

I think it might have fallen out when he stopped and took something else in or out of the truck. Maybe she is very close by. But then again, I am sure they have scoured every inch of the area near where it was found....:sigh:

I hate to think of her never being found. That is too depressing.

Sorry to quote my own post...but ... this really points to a giant lie, because if he was just 'driving the baby around because it was fussy' (which we already know is a lie because the people in the store said the baby was sleeping), why would he need to stop somewhere and put the tailgate down?? I can't think of any reason.

Is there an interview or link to what the Happy Valley store people who commented on Ember's state (sleeping)? I would be interested to see/hear what they observed. What if she wasn't sleeping? What if something was terribly wrong at that point, perhaps unbeknownst to MG? Or maybe he did know and he played it off as if she were sleeping intentionally. Or he was in shock/ denial that something was wrong and carried on with his "errands" trying to will her as being asleep rather then deceased. She wasn't strapped in her car seat, which in my opinion means he did not intend on going very far if only to the store and back. I know I am guilty of bending the car seat rules when I needed to make quick familiar trips up and down my 1.5 mile dirt road to pick up the mail and trash cans. (I grew up in an area not too far from Shasta and these back roads and dirt roads are all too familiar). Or he didn't strap her in because something was already wrong and he knew it, and why would he buckle up his deceased baby. (I hate even writing that!) If Baby Embers wasn't alive at that time, I would imagine it would be hard even for the most hardened criminal to touch/maneuver/ strap their lifeless baby into a car seat. :( I don't think Baby Embers was ok in that video. I am not completely discrediting the cousin (?) sighting either. Maybe MG's detour after Happy Store was not to dump Embers but scope out a location, figure out what to do next, prepare a spot, to come back later to. Maybe he brought her back home and continued to pretend nothing was wrong, hence the "in his arms sighting." Who really was the last person to see/know for sure Baby Embers was alive and what day/time? Praying for this baby girl.

Do we know which side of the road it was found on?

Just my opinion but wouldn't LE process those items (gloves and duct tape especially) for fibers, hair etc?

I would think so...

I am puzzled that LE seemed to have so quickly dismissed the findings in the backpack as being inconsequential...

testing the items may bring more, much needed, clues...

though... I imagine LE is testing or has tested the items by now...

Siskiyou Sheriff: Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation Update

As previously reported, an officer-involved shooting occurred in a residential neighborhood in Siskiyou County just south of the Dunsmuir city limits on Monday, July 14, 2015 at about 7:44 am while Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol, and Shasta County Sheriff’s Office responders were searching for an armed carjacking suspect, later identified as Mr. Matthew Ryan Graham, 23, who fled on foot in the area of Francis and Katherine Streets, after abandoning the stolen vehicle. Mr. Graham was thought to be the carjacking suspect after he was identified by witnesses and victims of the crime in Shasta Lake City. Mr. Graham allegedly stole the Buick automobile after robbing the victims at gunpoint.

A post-mortem examination was conducted on Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Medford, Oregon by a forensic pathologist. The cause of Mr. Graham’s death was confirmed to be the result of “multiple gunshot wounds.” Toxicology tests administered have not returned from the laboratory. Additional forensic analyses have been conducted by the California Department of Justice on the vehicle abandoned by Mr. Graham and another vehicle struck by gunfire in the garage where the suspect was hiding during his confrontation with law enforcement authorities. A forensic examination of the handgun used by Mr. Graham is also pending further analysis. These results have not been released.

As previously reported, criminal and parallel administrative investigations have been initiated. Extensive assistance and support was received by the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Investigations and Forensic Technicians from the DOJ Forensics Laboratories in Redding and Chico, CA. Investigators from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, Redding Police Department, Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, Shasta and Siskiyou County District Attorney’s Offices, California Highway Patrol, including their Investigative Services Unit and Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team provided investigative support. Currently, the criminal investigation is being conducted by the California Department of Justice with assistance and support from Siskiyou County and Shasta County law enforcement authorities.

There were a total of 13 deputies and officers involved in the two shooting incidents at the scene, including 9 deputies from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, 2 deputies from the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, and 2 officers from the California Highway Patrol.

Mr. Graham was implicated in the disappearance of “Baby Ember Graham” less than 2 weeks ago in Shasta County. That investigation is still on-going by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.

All involved deputies and officers remain on administrative leave.

The criminal investigation, when completed, will be reviewed by Siskiyou County District Attorney Kirk Andrus and his counterpart in Shasta County. According to law enforcement sources, the investigation is proceeding as scheduled and DOJ and other agencies are making rapid progress on the case.

This case is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident or Mr. Graham’s activities is urged to contact the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office 24 hour dispatch center at (530) 841-2900.

Bringing this map forward ( thanks BYO )

The search area where the pacifier was found, off Platina road, is in green.

FWIW, as per msm photos here's one of the LE staging areas during the last search:

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Hap...afb737!2m2!1d-122.456117!2d40.4734369!1m0!3e0

It's about 11 miles and 19 minutes from the Happy Stop. Looking at the entire area and the remote terrain, it really is like looking for a needle in a haystack. :(

I will be somewhat surprised if they aren't out searching tomorrow. Makes sense that they would hold off till they got the confirmation on the DNA.

I hope so sarx. :please: let the SAR teams find Ember Sky, or the clue that leads them to her. The silence is maddening and defending!
