Thank you for stating what I've been avoiding stating since yesterday about 5:30pm eastern but hadn't had a link to back up.

I have a hard time watching videos because I have to keep javascript turned off on this computer in order to access WS for whatever reason, and it makes things like videos and twitter and google maps not work. Thank you again for finding that for me.

WOW - that #83 video is very sad IMO - the witness of it all said law enforcement gave Matthew 'EVERY CHANCE TO SURRENDER & HE WOULDN'T'. I feel sad for officers who had to shoot Matthew - based on this witness, it sounds like it was quite a huge firestorm of shots. God Bless them all, Baby Ember, too, of course. Such a horribly sad event - gosh, I wonder how the heck Baby Ember died !! Matthew sure seemed very loving to the baby, so tender. I can't fathom that he killed that little darling on purpose -- could somebody please, kindly, post Matthew's criminal history?? TYIA ---- I tried going back through the threads, but they're massive and I have limited time, but do my best - TYIA !!!

So either the family withheld information from law enforcement, or else everyone is full of it as far as this "Matthew was going to Oregon to retrieve Ember" thing goes.

(PS kseal's video is not the exact same one I wanted to post but it does give the gist of the information. His father sure was adamant that MG was going to Oregon to get Ember from someone though.)

I'm with you. Plus, Happy Valley would be the closest town to that road to have a laundry at, and they were going the wrong way. The next town in that direction is miles and miles away almost to interstate 5. Why drive twice as far, to do laundry? Nothing makes sense about this. I'm not going to give it another thought.

They could have been doing their laundry at a friends house or a family's house.

I would not discount the bridge lead. I did a search on the map and the area the bridge is in is on a main road that goes directly to shopping (24 hours), and laundry too, I'm sure.
My gut is saying this may be a viable lead. The way the road curves, the light would shine immediately and directly on anyone on the bridge.

Catching up here but I keep thinking about MG's swollen feet. I got to look at the map to see how far of a walk it was.
Also if the witness did contact LE, LE might have said we will go and search the creek hence the guy filming it even said he saw LE searching there but they weren't walking in the water, right? And if I remember correctly, LE did not alow people to search in certain areas so...

I feel bad for the Graham family. They are victims as well. I also have thoughts for the poor officers that were forced to help this man commit suicide by cop. And the car jacking victims. And above it all, baby Ember. So many people hurt. So many hurt by drugs it seems. His addiction has destroyed dozens of lives.

Do Laundry facilities typically have security cameras ? I would imagine not too many couples would be out at 3 am doing laundry so they would be easy to spot

Just thinking here but the witness didn't have to say they were going to do laundry, they could have just said they were walking home. Right?

Also, I think your map might be off. He says in the video (1:38) and shows the Horsetown Preserve which runs along Clear Creek Rd, not Placer Rd.

I think Embers death was an accident. He was high and something happened. He panicked, hid the baby and started the lies. He may not even have remembered where. I just am stuck on the idea that someone may have helped him.

What if they were on their way back from doing laundry? I don't recall if they said "going to do laundry" or "doing laundry". It could make a difference.

If I am breaking any rules about SM please delete but I believe we can comment on FB posts if it's the POI and public.

I am not sure how much of MG’s FB pages you have all read. Until last night, I had just skimmed through. For some reason, I felt compelled to know some more background and went thru many if not all of the posts (late night last night). Before I comment, I will again reiterate my belief that FB is a poor way to make judgments because many people want to present themselves in a positive “happy” light. Not all posts may be public so you don’t get the entire picture.

I see that MG had stretches of time where he seemed to be struggling with pain or relationships. During the “up” times – everything seemed over-the-top-happy but then the mood broke the “downs” appeared. Like of all us, he had ups/downs but I got the sense they were extreme. I saw the cycle and there would be 2-3 month stretches were there were no posts (unless private maybe). I can’t imagine how someone who invested her love and dreams into this cycle would feel. (I did compare timeframes and saw what JG posted but won’t touch that here).
The drama was what seemed to fuel the past relationships. The ex’s became “crazy’ and he had to leave and found love again. Here is my timeline if you are so inclined to read and reference the posts on MG page. I think this death was not planned and spur of the moment (accident/anger?) and he couldn't find a way to escape from what he did so he tried to cover it up. I am not an expert on depression, pain, addiction or any other disorder but I think all of these factored into yesterday's results along with poor coping/judgment. No excuses though.

September – battle for custody of son. Current gf with him trying to help. Helps community during fires. By December – relationship seems to be gone – lots of indirect comments but nothing personal.
December 24 2012 – happy again – new love? (JG?).

2013
Early 2013 – focused on son mostly – upswing continues.
August 13, 2013 – lots of posts for JG
September – helps community with fires. Seems to hit a bump of sorts 9/12 and 16.
Oct-Dec – positive. Pictures of son

2014
January – May – off radar
May – picture of pregnant JG
July 2014 – upswing 14-15th stress lifts. July 23rd revealing. 25th finds out he's having a girl (hoping for boy)
August 1st – married
August 14-23 – rough patch (?)
August 28 - naming baby girl
August 29 – pain again
Sept. – issues arise with seeing son (9/11) Lots of family pics. Gets custody every other week. Lands two jobs (9/23 and 9/29)
October 2014 – Hit rock bottom ….but things looking up. New job(s). Lost their home somehow but looking for new one. Pain starts again (October 9th and 10th) (October 20th looking up.
Baby shower – 18th
October 2014 – November - off the radar.
December 2014 – Ember is born. Pic
January - March 2015 – positive nothing to note
April – rant – little mention of Ember
May – July – very little posts – just pictures of reunited couple.

ETA - they don't have videos. they only have a live stream. it gets stamped with replay when it IS a replay but WE can't replay them.

FWIW, KCRC is still running last night's newscast (or maybe the 5 am one). If you go to the livestream:

And scroll it all the way back to the beginning, the first 5 minutes or so are all about the shootout. After that they show video of MG and Ember then at about 6:17 they talk about the family and how they're standing behind MG (with a short clip of WG). After that it's a recap of events and talk about baby Ember. They may rerun more later on but I didn't listen to the whole newscast. Other than the Oregon thing it's nothing new.

So... MG ran because he was following a tip that Ember was in Oregon? And his family buys it? :notgood: I really was expecting the family to claim LE "drove" MG to have a breakdown and run, but this? It makes no sense - where did he get that notion in the first place? Did he share it with LE? Did the family share it with LE since they apparently had the info before he ran? Is the family following up on it - doesn't look like it.

I admire MG's family's belief in him (well, not really) but I'm disappointed that they continue to make this all about him and not Ember. And have from day one.
