Yes, a little further east. Google takes you to directly in between Bagdad and Ranch, but the witness said she was found very close to Ranch Road. But still, the pin is pretty close. ;D

When I google the street as referenced above I am taken miles to the East by Moody Drive. I believe that others though are taken to the location of her car. I don't know why I am not taken to the same location when I Google it. Another mystery.

That may explain why there are no wedding pictures (that I can find/see) on FB.

I actually read a post on her mom's FB page that made me think they secretly married in Vegas when they went to the Marine Corp Ball. I have no idea if it was held there as I didn't research the statement. So yeah, basically I'm making a semi-educated guess.

Um. Who writes the articles for KCDZFM.com? Anyone here have any knowledge of this radio station - it's listed as "community" - but are they typically reliable and considered MSM?

JMO: Let's say she did have a boyfriend on the side. Perhaps she met with him that day, to break it off, or to tell him they need to cool things, while her Mom was there. Then something went wrong. Like, if I can't have you, no one can?

MOO

I don't know - but when you click on their Local News link at the top of the page - they also have a recording of the same story. I would assume that if this were more than rumors it will be picked up by other news outlets shortly.

Edited to add from wikipedia:

Z107.7 is best known for its award-winning local news, which airs seven times a day, seven days a week. Reporters include Managing Editor Tami Roleff, Dan Stork, Mike Lipsitz, and Kristy Lockhart.

No idea if this story is from any of those reporters.

Like some of you, there is only one explanation I can come up with for why LE is not encouraging the public to look for Erin, nor encouraging Missing posters to be distributed. I believe LE is pretty confident they already know what happened to Erin and who did it. They know if lots of posters are distributed or people are encouraged to call in tips it will only distract their investigators from the focus to find Erin.

That being said, I just can't imagine the husband would not be cracking under the pressure now if he is responsible. Based on Mrs Heavilin saying she has been cooking in Erin's kitchen we assume the parents are staying with the husband. I would think the tension would be thick enough to cut with a knife if the husband had anything to do with this and is spending presumably most or all of his time with her parents.

If true, the "targeted" searches said to be taking place make sense. Perhaps they are searching ping areas, but not from Erin's phone ...

It is a very popular radio station in that area with a target audience of people around Erin's age. I knew the General Manager years ago and based on the knowledge I had of him I would take anything they say with a grain of salt. Perhaps there is a different G.M. now and things have cleaned up...

Erin's mother is staying in lodging aboard the Base. She may be having meals at Jon's?

I've come to that same conclusion. Looking at the pics around the time of the ball pic, there is a 2nd pic where Erin is wearing that same dress but the background looks like a wedding chapel.

A lot of units hold their balls in Vegas. So that's a good educated assumption!

Excellent point about not encouraging the public to post fliers because even though they don't want the public involved in the search because of various reasons, posting fliers could never hurt. Very odd.

For some reason I don't feel it was him but then I wonder why they haven't cleared him yet. If she left the base and he didn't there would be proof through surveillance right? Unless he left for something like shopping or whatever and they can't account for his whereabouts. That's the only thing I can think of. I wonder if they own two cars?...

IF (big if, IMO), the above story is true, this case is sounding more and more like Bethany Decker, who has been missing from VA for over 3 years. Bethany was pregnant when she disappeared and her husband was active military (Army, I think). However, Bethany was having a known affair with another man and it is believed that the other man was the unborn baby's father. The other man (not Bethany's husband) is believed to be responsible for Bethany's disappearance, but no one has been arrested and Bethany has never been found.

I truly hope Erin's case doesn't go unsolved for years.

I don't know whether that source is reliable. Many newspapers will not publish anything with anonymous sources unless it is highly important. One reason is that someone can spout BS and not be held accountable.

However, I have thought for a long time about the different scenarios involving her being pregnant by another man.

Not sure what to think of Z107.7's story. We've seen the comments on FB. Gary Daigneault knows a lot of people. So maybe someone did spill this to him??

We'll see if any other news sources pick this up??

Yes. I understand the thought process behind not posting scenarios/ideas that paint the victim in a bad light, but sometimes venturing into those dark areas is exactly what is needed to solve a case. IMO, you can discuss things without passing judgment and especially if it is helpful to finding the missing person.
