If CL killed Erin and LE can prove it was because she was pregnant with (what he believed to be) his baby, regardless of how far along she was or if she had been to a doctor yet, I don't think it would be too difficult to bring a charge against him for her unborn babies murder, as well. LE would probably have to find Erin first though.

If her body has been reduced to a skeletal state by now, is there any way to even prove she was pregnant for sure? Unless they found the pregnancy test (eew on that still being around this long after Father's Day), or maybe there are some elevated hormone levels only caused by pregnancy in her hair or something? I am totally guessing on how that might be done.

Depending on how far along she was, a fetal skeleton would be possible which is what I am hoping for if she was harmed and no longer with us.

If far enough along, fetal skeleton would be the smoking gun for me when Erin is found. DNA tests can be done as well.

It is sad to think this way. Poor Erin and her baby - never had a chance.

IMO

No, definitely not and I do suspect that she's involved, but I was just saying you have to imagine the entire context of how she said it. It might make her friend feel a little funny, but probably not in an overtly, DUN!DUN!DUN!, run to the police, kind of way.

I totally agree that context is important. However, based on the quotes provided, it doesn't sounds like comments that could be taken as anything the least bit general.

According to the search warrant, “Nicole (Lee) told Isabella that without a body the detectives did not have a case against them and the detectives would never find the body.”

“Nicole had also berated Lee in Front of Isabella about not being able to keep his lies straight when he was interviewed by detectives because he was dumb,” the search warrant said.

“Nicole stated she was able to keep her story straight and the detectives did not get any information from her,” according to the records.

As you can see, her remarks sound a lot more specific than the possible scenario you suggested above, and something IM should definitely have run to police over.

Trying to calculate how far along Erin's pregnancy was. I know the search affidavit says that Erin was 2-3 weeks along when she went missing. IMO, she found out 2-3 weeks (on Father's day) before she went missing. So I'm going to guess she was at least 6 weeks along.

In blue...I agree and this really bothers me. And she let them live there for weeks after these statements were made.

Thank you, I didn't even think of a possible fetal skeleton. What a doofus I am this morning.

If that information is correct. Personally, I fudged on my dates for no other reason than privacy. Only a medical exam/ultrasound could have dated her pregnancy, so IMO we do not know exactly how far along she was.

Don't worry about it. I am in doofus land this morning with only four hours sleep. I am hoping the baby tells the story, its little voice heard.

Yes, I wonder if she high tailed to LE to give this info. I would while thinking of never wanting to be around those people ever again.

This case is mind boggling.

Not to be gross, but coyotes typically go for the abdomen area first and spread out the remains from there. Unless she was buried deep enough (like the McStays) the remains could be useless to detectives. If she was shot, there could still be evidence seen in the skull.

Edited: more gruesome info here from the Westerfield case. Search for "coyote" "abdomen" "animal"

I am having a very hard time imagining that I's hands are completely clean.

I'm concerned with the fact that CL and NL are believed to have returned to Alaska. Having lived in the Anchorage area for 3 years I know that it is entirely possible for them to disappear without a trace. There are so many small towns out in the wilderness they could start a new life in and no one would know they were even being looked at for a crime. If they allowed CL and NL to leave CA for AK and they did commit this heinous act, I doubt we will ever see justice for Erin. My sad take on this situation. Thankfully I have friends in the area in AK still so I will be spreading the word.

I've never been to Alaska, but I was think the exact same thing. Hopefully they are under surveillance if in fact they were allowed to leave.

NL obviously knows where LE has been searching. For her to make the statement that they will never find the body makes me think they are looking in the wrong place.
