It's nice when we get good news!!
Thanks for following up. I can't imagine ever being unhappy enough with someone over something like infidelity that I wouldn't feel absolutely horrid about a 19 year old girl who has possibly been murdered. Even if had been my own husband's lover.
But I do recognize that not everyone feels like that, which is why we have these horrid cases to begin with
Your feeling is that infidelity is not enough an iniquity to warrant feelings of resentment that would marr
someone's otherwise compassionate feelings in a case such as this? :dunno:
And the fact that others don't share your view of infidelity, as (I would guess) more of an indiscretion
than an immoral and humiliating act, is the reason why so many murder cases are happening??
So what does everyone think about Bill Garcia getting involved wth this case?
Who is Bill Garcia and why did he get involved?
I know they can collect DNA, however, they don't do it as a matter of routine. If they had to obtain it via a court order I wonder if possession of a disassembled potato launcher would be enough for a judge to sign off on it or would the judge allow them to bring up the EC case since CL has not been named a POI. I also wonder if the USMC would release his DNA since he hasn't been named a POI and they aren't the lead investigators on this case. There always seems to be so much red tape to be muddled through. It's never as easy as we might think. Ugh.This is not a routine case. The fact of the matter is, they can LEGALLY collect DNA in California on any felony arrest. It's the special investigations/homicide team handling this case. And, they ain't talking to anybody about their techniques related to this case. For all we know, they did get a court order to collect CL's DNA.
Bottom line, I think it's very very safe to assume that LE already has CL's fingerprints and DNA, one way or another. Still, it may not matter!
If CL was having an affair with EC, it makes perfect sense that his fingerprints and DNA would be all over EC's vehicle. That is a big problem for LE. Even if CL's DNA is found on EC's body at some point in the future, it can still be explained away by the affair. LE absolutely LUCKED OUT that CL stupidly denied the affair early on and then admitted to kissing her. Still, IMO, if they find EC's body and charge CL with murder, he will change his tune in court and openly admit the affair; if for no other reason than to explain his DNA and fingerprints in her vehicle.
So what does everyone think about Bill Garcia getting involved wth this case?
Where did you read this? Do you have a link? TIA
He, personally posted on FB and asked for any information that might assist them find Erin.
Obviously, what I'm about to say would only apply to someone in IM's situation. For anyone in NL's situation, I would certainly understand and expect a lack of concern about EC's fate - whether she was guilty of anything or not. She is the injured party and has a right to some callous disregard, in my view.
Call me old fashioned, but I believe in honor and I deeply disapprove of infidelity, period. But, if I were in IM's shoes, I think whether the missing person is a friend/acquaintance or a stranger would make a big difference in how I would react. Either way, I would obviously feel outraged that my friend had been cheated on. But how does one genuinely not care that someone you know is missing and/or dead? I just can't understand that. And, based on her actions and words, IM does not seem to care.
Being frank, I would probably feel that my missing friend/acquaintance contributed to whatever befell her through her dishonorable actions. The unnecessary tragedy of it would make me angry and sad for everyone involved. And, after what we see on here, I would also probably be a little worried that my friend was involved in her disappearance. But, I certainly hope and believe that I value life enough to genuinely hope that a person I know is found - no matter what. And that I could find more to say about her than "she was gentle with her horse".
This is the situation IM finds herself in. She is obviously not a cold or unfeeling person. She is fond of the Lees and she loves the horses. And she "loved" the stupid ceramic donkey enough to post about it's "killing". So, regardless of the affair, I find her obvious lack of concern about EC to be odd. Very odd indeed.
I've followed this from day 1, but somehow missed the part about the ceramic donkey. Can someone please give me a short explanation or point me in the direction of where I can read about it? TIA
Quoted directly from the Locate Erin page this morning:
"The search teams are planning to make a big push in the search for Erin this weekend. Large numbers of searchers will be out all day Saturday and Sunday as they continue to look for her. Please pray that the detectives and search teams are searching in the correct areas and that Erin will be found this weekend! Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!"
A "big push", hmm...
IM had posted on the WRHR blog quite frequently/regularly up until EC went missing. Now... <crickets>
