Anyone curious about the search warrant, using the language, "because a felony may have been committed?"

That´s what I have been wondering too.
I am a bit mystified as to why schooling comes up so much in this case and in the Turpin case.

Sometimes it completely takes over the discussions.

Why is that, posters who write about schooling?

As a retired teacher, I know lots about different schools. It was brought up how the kids were being deprived of electronics as something that was really bad.

I brought up the MSM references to the fact that Silicone Valley tech parents send their kids to Waldorf schools as an example as to why not having electronics is not a big deal

I made this so you guys cab put names to faces. Also so I could clear otuo who is biologically siblings. Markis and his younger sisters Hannah and Abigail were first adopted by the hart family. Then Devonte and his younger siblings Jeremiah and Sierra were adopt by the Hart family. Markis, Hannah and Abigail are bio siblings and Devonte, Jeremiah and Sierra are bio siblings. Here are a list of their ages RN.

Markis - 19
Hannah - 16
Devonte - 15
Jeremiah - 14
Abigail - 14
Sierra - 12

Thank you. This helps a lot. Hits home that these are real people.

So sad and I hope LE finds the 3 missing alive.

JMO

Just thought of one possibility where the 3 may be alive and scared to contact someone. Just a thought and guessing here but what if the stop at the cliff was just a rest break to get some shut eye and the 3 that are missing decided to make a run for it to escape from them while adults were sleeping.

The 3 kids may have realized the adults were not in their right mind and they may have made a run for it. They may have even tried to get all the children to go with them but a couple of them chickened out.

Anyway lets suppose they took off running and the adults awakened and realized they had escaped and knew they could not capture them. So at that point the adult gets really mad and starts the car and drives off the cliff with whoever was left in the car.

If something like that happened then the 3 surviving children may be afraid they will get in trouble. Especially if they saw the adult drive over the cliff.

I need to watch that video again of the wreck scene. One way to know if it was on purpose would be the distance from the edge out away into the water. If they floored the gas then the car would have landed aways into the water. If they just barely rolled over the edge then the crash part would be down right near the wall of the cliff.

Are there any pictures that show where the car landed. Im going to search for more pictures of the crash scene to see if I can tell how far into the water the car went.

I brought it up. Why? Because it was said that the parents were derpiving the kids because they did not allow electronics.

I brought up the fact that many Silicone Valley parents in the tech industry send their kids to Waldorf schools because Waldorf is not into tech.

It was merely an expample of how tech parents do not have tech for their kids.

To me, it is documentable that some tech parents do not like tech for their kids. I provided the articles that stated that Silicone Valley tech parents send their kids to Waldorf schools.

As much as I think beating a kid till she has black, and blue marks is abusive, I don’t think depriving kids of tech is abusive,

They learn it in minutes. I live in a Third World country where most kids do nit have internet. They have it at achool and each village has free internet. My neighbor has it and has given everyone his code.

The kids learn it in minutes.

That is just nice! Say hi to him from me!

As a mother of three in an upper middle class family, I could not afford all of these clothes. It’s been my question since this happened. Who is funding this lifestyle? I found their roots in South Dakota and no one seems wealthy.

I live in Alexandria, MN, & my kids went to school there the same time the abuse was reported but they are not in the school yearbooks so they must have taken them out right after abuse was reported.

I have wondered how they afford this as well. If you google DH name and Free Hugs several photos pop up that show him collecting donations for charity on his 11th, 13th, 14th, and 15th birthdays. Who knows what was actually done with the money. I would hope S and J would donate it. I have noticed several photos have the watermark Hart Visions Photography. Even if she worked as a professional photographer and they received benefits for adoption, I don’t see how a family of that size could live and travel primarily on an assistant manager’s salary. Our family is about the same size and we are also one income family. Just food, clothing, mortgage, gas, and vehicles eat up the majority of the income. It definitely makes me wonder if there was some type of outside income like a trust fund or inheritance that supplemented the family income.

Some people give into the spectacle and gossip that they forget to act appropriately at the right time.

Yes. I assumed they wouldn’t have been able to get the warrant otherwise. Although the missing children should have been reason enough.

I’m still confused. If someone could post the most recent photo with their names it would be greatly appreciated.
Their ages are

Markis - 19
Hannah - 16
Devonte - 15
Jeremiah - 14
Abigail - 14
Sierra - 12

If they received government money for the kids then that could explain why so many kids and could explain how they funded some of their lifestyle. I know of someone who gets assistance for adopted children and I was surprised how much per month it was.

ok, could you tag them with their ages and maybe give the bio siblings the same label? and who is deceased and/or missing please?

Certainly, but it is stated without speaking of the children, like an extra detail. I get they are looking for the children, but financials, computers, etc., then stating a felony may have been committed? It s spoken without connecting felony with the children. JMO

According to reviews on glassdoor, employees get a 15% discount which they can stack with sales and clearance prices, so that could be a way to get affordable, quality clothing and shoes. And I used to shop the "rich neighborhood" thrift stores and found stuff like Nike jackets and super expensive soccer cleats for my stepson and husband.

I'm the youngest of seven kids and have a distant memory of digging through the "shoe bag" for hand-me-down shoes. (although, tbh, I was spoiled and by the time I came around parents were making more money so I almost always got new shoes and would use hand me downs for playing dress-up or getting dirty).

There are also sites online which sell factory seconds of quality stuff...Sierra trading post is one...I think they have brick and mortar stores, too...then there's outlet malls...there's a bunch near Lincoln City, Oregon...we can't assume they paid retail for those shoes...

Maybe she gets a discount at Kohl's.

After reading this CNN article. What if DeVonte or one of the other kids got caught asking for food and him and 2 others are missing because they were killed prior to leaving?

https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/02/us/family-suv-pacific-coast-crash-what-we-know/index.html

...."DeKalb said Devonte and one of his sisters had told him they were being mistreated. The neighbor recalled two disturbing encounters he had with the children.
"One of the girls came to the door at 1:30 in the morning and said that she needed help and the parents were not treating her properly, and (she) wanted us to protect her," DeKalb said.
(Devonte) started coming over asking for food and saying that they were taking meals away from him due to punishment.

Neighbor Bruce DeKalb

"We ended up getting her back to her parents ... and then I went over there the next morning and just checked on things, and everything seemed normal, and we let it go from there."
DeKalb said Devonte was the only child he saw doing chores outside, such as taking the garbage bins to and from the street.
Then, starting about two weeks ago, Devonte "started coming over asking for food and saying that they were taking meals away from him due to punishment," DeKalb told HLN.
"It started out as one time a day and escalated up to three times a day, until a week went by and we decided that we needed to get professional help."
DeKalb said he called Child Protective Services on March 23, and officials arrived just after Jennifer Hart came home from work. But she didn't answer the door..."

Unfortunately, I know of several families who have adopted many children, then placed one or more of them in group homes/facilities. They still "make" something off of it, because the subsidy is a little more than the share of cost for the group home, and they keep the balance, which is supposed to be used for clothing and spending money and the like, but it can be like pulling teeth to get $10 for an event.

To be clear, I'm not saying all or even most adoptive families are like that, not even all the ones I've met, I'm just saying this is something I've become much more aware of since moving to a region where adopting a gazillion kids is seen as "godly" and revered and the "white savior" complex is strong culturally.

Ok, and I agree

It doesn't matter if a child "prefers" not to get dental work done! I am sure my daughter would have rather not had braces, but she needed them! (She also had missing teeth that needed to be pulled down). The moms didn't want to spend the money.

I agree. It doesn´t quite make sense, does it?
Who would choose to commit suicide that way?!

A couple who were obsessed with a band (Nakho and Medicine for the People) who had a song with lyrics glorifying driving into the ocean?

As an individual who was adopted from the foster care system, I know my parents received what is called a subsidized adoption. They received a monthly amount until as long as I qualified as a dependent and I also remained eligible for Medicaid despite the income level of my parents. The last subsidy check my parents got was over 12 years ago and was $450/month at that time. I can only assume those monthly amounts have increased. Times 6 kids that would add a minimum of $30,000 extra income annually on top of Sarah's management position. Still not astronomical by any means, but makes it more feasible in my mind. I mean they purchased a home for $375,000 last year, the lending company would have required they met an income standard that would feasibly allow them to pay their mortgage.

Here is a link that breaks down Texas adoption assistance, from here it appears likely the 6 would have qualified for the higher ceiling @ $545/month.

I’ve searched google several ways and come up with nothing but a current report saying a cross was burned in their yard in MN by the KKK in 2013. Do you by chance remember any local media reports of this having happened?

CHP drone footage:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVXbGnOP69M

You can see the tracks that the Hart's SUV made from bringing it up from the bottom of the cliff.

I cannot tell how far the vehicle flew out away from the cliff. If we can find the landing zone that will give us a good idea of how fast they were going when they left the top of the cliff.

The further out they traveled into the water the more chance it was done on purpose. JMO

I see that also as very curious.

If there were two adults and seatbelts, and the rest of the children weren't, that just does not make sense to me at all.

I'm trying to think of a scenario where every single one of the children would not be belted in when both adults were.

I just can't think of one scenario these days.

What could this scenario be that none of them were in seat belts?

Maybe the kids weren't belted because there were too many kids in the car. Like 6 kids for 3 seats.....
