Gosh it's so great to have first hand information...thanks! Maybe he started about 2 -2:30, after the bank, a shower, change of clothes, maybe he even fed the baby? Course we really don't know for sure what time he got to the Shuz business...the only info we have is his 911 call and his word.

I'm the type who gets really nervous if I don't allow myself enough time to get places--he might not be , so maybe I'm overestimating the time allotment.
I think his arrival time at Shuz is probably within minutes of the 911 call.

Rush hour traffic can start around 2 p.m. on I-880, and the freeway can get very, very clogged up. And of course, there is always the odd unexpected accident any time of day that can create a traffic snarl. I can't see him allowing himself only 1/2 hour to get to Oakland that time of day--might take 1/2 hour under ideal conditions.

This is exactly right. I'd say 1/2 hour with no traffic, up to an hour with traffic. I think 511.org has an online tool where you can plug in a commute, time and day and get an estimate based on historical data.

Pretty sure Jennifer took public transportation (train)- would that be about 1/2 hour? She started work around 8:30 - 9:00am. Just trying to figure what hours Ross had the children alone. TIA

Here is how long it would (generally) take by car on a Monday to make the trip if you left at 3:45 p.m. You can play with the times on the Predict-a-Trip tool:

BART schedules can be found here:
http://bart.gov/

You'd be departing from Fremont and arriving at Rockridge, or vice versa. They have schedules up there, too.

Hey FF, can you tell us what that body of water is on the map I posted?

Fremont7:45 am 12th St. Oakland City Center
8:23 am -- 8:23 am
(timed transfer) Rockridge8:31 am

Poor pregnant Jennifer - she would have to leave at least by 7:45am minus time to get to the station in order to arrive at Rockridge by 8:31am.

Just think of her commute home with the baby and Hasanni?

Now her getting a job in Rockridge as opposed to closer to home, and in a higher-class neighborhood- predominantly white- is making more sense to me. She took a job in Rockridge because she could get there by BART. There is a BART station in Rockridge within a walkable distance from her job.

As far as I can tell, the second area you're pointing at is D.U.S.T. Marsh in Coyote Hills Regional Park -- very popular and busy, lots of hikers, birdwatchers, etc. Haven't been to that area in ages, though.

Between the City of Fremont and the bay lie about a mile's worth of salt ponds, too.

Here are some pictures of Coyote Hills Regional Park (scroll through):

Found this on Red light camera's is Fremont.
The City of Fremont has joined the growing trend in the United States and other countries by using automated red-light cameras to reduce red-light related accidents. Between the years 1995-1998, Fremont experienced a 31% increase in red-light related traffic accidents. In response to the increase, Fremont installed the first camera system in August of 2000. Fremont now has a total of nine (9) intersections with (11) eleven redlight camera approaches in operation and intends to install two more approaches by the end of 2008. The cameras take a total of four (4) photos and a 12 second video of the violation. The following intersections are currently equipped with red-light cameras:

* Auto Mall Pkwy at Fremont Bl
* Decoto Rd at Fremont Bl
* Decoto Rd at Paseo Padre Pkwy
* Fremont Blvd at Decoto Rd
* Fremont Blvd at Mowry Ave
* Mowry Ave at Blacow Rd
* Mowry Ave at Farwell Dr
* Stevenson Blvd at Blacow Rd
* Mission Blvd and Mohave Dr

I wonder if any of these camera's were on LR route to Shuz.

I know we're favoring water and somewhere nearby, but I would think that he would opt for burial and somewhere further. After all, the "abduction" did not occur in Fremont, but a half hour away in a different city. If he wants anyone to believe an abduction took place, I would think it would benefit him more for a body to turn up closer to Oakland than to Fremont. (What are the odds an abductor from Oakland heads to the exact area the kid's from to dispose of a body?)

Also, the Scott Peterson case got such huge national play, and that was an attempt at a water disposal at Berkeley Marina, bodies found not too far from there in Point Richmond bay. Also, the Fremont area is pretty marshy with low water, which may have made it harder for water disposal. I'm guessing he had a lot longer than one day to figure it out.

Other ideas, for whatever they're worth:
the Sierras
Sacramento / Delta area
Marin County open spaces / Sonoma County (lots of land)

I'd be VERY interested to find out which bridges he crossed between 7/31 or therabouts (when text message was sent and neighbors confirm seeing Hasanni) and 8/10. It may tell us about any unusal trips into these areas being that you have the Richmond Bridge, Golden Gate, Dunbarton, Carquinez, Benicia, Antioch, Bay bridges to name a few.

Or Hasani is near the house and Ross thought his abduction story so believable that he figured they would only search in Oakland, never in Fremont. I'm sure he thinks he has outsmarted them all.

*snipped from above article* and BBM
"I think we should really pray, and I just want to thank everybody for helping me in this search for my child," Shemika Campbell said.

Odd choice of words, under the circumstances. Considering that other guy keeps calling him HIS son?!? Just sayin'.

I thought so too Shutterfly! I went back and read it again because it just sounded odd. There is also one comment and the person states there will be a website going live tomorrow, but the poster didn't give the web address.

Also a vigil tomorrow evening at 6:30

Did anyone besides me notice that from interviews everything these people have looks brand new? Nothing even appears cluttered and the house doesn't look lived in much. It looks empty to me and when you hear the dog bark you can hear how empty it is. Everything they've showed that belongs to the children looks brand new as well. If the October 1st, 2008 date on the sale of 5997 Roxie is actually theirs, then the house is brand new as well. The draperies over the sliding glass doors on the first floor alone( from the pic I posted) probably set them back about $400.
Maybe it's Jennifer with the money. Her grandmother died on June 18th 2008. That would sure explain a lot, wouldn't it?

I was thinking today about the pictures released of Hasanni. Each time one particular one (with the green or leafy backdrop) was shown it appeared to be on a luggage tag of some kind or the like. I remember wondering why this was the best picture available beyond the graduation shot (and I think one more has surfaced now).

For someone so into technology, for a family who owns two modern cell phones (possibly smart phones), as well as "digital camera" LR referred to during a news interview as taken by LE, why so few pictures of these kids who we're supposed to believe they lived for? One of the first things my wife and I do when we get a new camera is test it out by taking pictures around the house or of the people we love (each other, the kids). How can there be so few pictures?

Also, some in the media have speculated that the lack of video has caused the public to overlook Hasanni or not feel as connected to him. Yet many cell phones (and most modern digital cameras made in the last 7-8 years) have at least some limited video capacity (even for a few minutes of stored video). I just find it strange that this couple seemed to have so much trouble digging up photos (and even then, we've seen so few).

That's so sad, and if true, seems to explain why Ross is with Jennifer doesn't it?

That's exactly the kind of beast I have him pegged as. Good sleuthing!

The more we learn the more that one missing bit bothers me. Photographs. My wee man is 3.5 years old. I had to replace my hard drive before he was a year old. All this 'stuff' they have and no pictures. All those gigantic walls in that house, and no pictures of these children. Where are the pictures of Hasanni walking unassisted if it was such a big accomplishment? What about at that family gathering or at the park? Bonding with his little sister? What about dancing, as he loves to do according to his mother?! It's as if his life has ended the same way it began, and the same way he lived it, invisible. I've never seen anything like this and it just breaks my heart.
I think 'he' is absolutely right in one aspect. The focus has turned to him and Hasanni has once again been forgotten. I think people are so angry at him, and so many are convinced that he did this that they can't see past that anger and remember that there is a little boy out there, all by himself, forgotten...
yet agin.

You are so right. That would explain the money. I know for a fact JC grew up without and when your naive, have money and a no good controlling boyfriend which is very easy to see. Evey time he talks she rolls her eyes as if to say she doesn't believe him either plus like somebody said before the body language towards each other is none. LR gets to go to school to fulfill his dream while she works at a shoe store. He's probably all she has right now in her eyes but I even think she has doubts it's coming out in her face. Does anyone know if HC sister is with family members ? ALL THINGS DONE IN THE DARK ALWAYS COME TO THE LIGHT.......:behindbar
