So, the publicity for the case is waning, other than the shirt, and attendance at the vigils are reportedly dipping even further... Come on, world, don't give up on this little guy!!!

FIND HASANNI!

I've searched everywhere but I can't find the name of the bank LR went to that day...Does ANYONE know???

Also,Could he have possibly gone to the bank, first??? Would PYP require CASH ONLY?? Anyone local been there??? (It's too early for me to call, and I have to go to work before they open, checked their website...no info there. If someone else wants to find out, that would be GREAT...TIA)

Takes cash and credit cards but no personal checks. I don't know if LR has credit card but the reason for the bank visit could have been related to the visit to PYP (to get cash).

I don't think the name of the bank has been released and I don't think we have a clear time line as far as what time the bank visit and PYP visit took place.

IMO, the bank visit was earlier; the PYP was later but still before noon.

LR said the kids were sleeping (yeah, I know -- it's LR so that doesn't mean much) when he went to the bank so that is why I thought the bank visit was soon after JC left.

I don't think they would have been taking a nap before noon.

I know some kids take morning and afternoon naps but if I was lucky, I got my daughter to take one nap and it was more of an afternoon nap. When I first heard LR say he was running late, I thought about my daughter who sometimes didn't wake up from her nap before I had to leave to pick up my son, and we'd be running late because of that.

Now, of course, I think LR was getting rid of Hasanni, not running late because he or AC did not wake up in time to accommodate this earlier leave-time.

Don't know if this has already been posted, but it seems LE has officially confirmed the clothes are not Hasanni's.

Clothes Found Not Those of Missing Boy

Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said today that clothing found by volunteers searching for missing 5-year-old Hasanni Campbell doesn't appear to belong to him.

However, Thomason said investigators will do a lab analysis to try to determine if there is any connection between the clothing and Hasanni, who suffers from cerebral palsy and was reported missing from the parking lot of the Shuz of Rockridge shoe store in the 6000 block of College Ave. about 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 10 by his stepfather, Louis Ross.

Also from above article:

Thomason said there haven't been any new tips in the case in recent weeks and police do not condone the private searches such as the one conducted on Sunday.

However, Sherri-Lyn Miller, a San Leandro print shop owner who has been organizing regular searches for Hasanni, said today that there will be another search for the boy in Hayward and Fremont on Saturday.

Miller said volunteers will cover the same ground where law enforcement officials searched on Aug. 15.

I wonder why the article states that JC works at the store (Shuz). I thought she lost her job. Guess it's more shoddy reporting.

The last bit of the article was likely the old story on file, to which they just added the new stuff. The draw backs of the 24 hour media world.

However, Thomason said investigators will do a lab analysis to try to determine if there is any connection between the clothing and Hasanni.

Not his clothing but still waiting to see if they are connected forensically to Hasanni.

Have they been searching the area or do you think they are waiting to find out whether it's connected to Hasanni before using the resources?

If he were on his way to the salvage yard and had to get cash, why leave the kids home alone? He said he left them at home for "5 minutes" to go to the bank, so I've always thought it was in the afternoon ~ assuming Hasanni was even still alive. :waitasec: MOO

Hoping that something happens this week. Hasanni, you are not forgotten by those of us out here on the net....lead the way baby.

Not trying to clog up the thread but just wanted to come say goodnight to all and to Hasanni. 'Night.

Stopped to say nite nite little guy Hasanni - sleep in peace. Even though your perpetrator is not behind bars yet - please know he will be.

At this point, in the case's lull, it's not a bad thing to give it a bump every once in a while. :(

Thank you, Patty (for this and all the videos you have posted for us)!

Summary for those who cannot watch videos (at work maybe?).

Sherri Miller talks about finding sweatshirt and how/why she got involved in Hasanni's case. Put together search team with Courtney Burris.

Henry Lee, reporter San Francisco Chronicle. Police do not believe sweatshirt and sock are connected to Hasanni case, but they are conducting tests. JC and LR confirmed the items were not Hasanni's.

LR and JC are still suspects. Showed video from Walmart (August 6). HOWEVER, Mike Galanos points out the wrong child as Hasanni -- says he is wearing striped shirt and they focus on AC. UGH!

ETA: Sent email with correct still photo of Hasanni to Mike G./CNN. I've received the standard "we got your email and we do read each and every one" response. Will let you know what, if anything else, I hear.

At this point, in the case's lull, it's not a bad thing to give it a bump every once in a while. :(

.......and another bump isn't a bad thing either. (More like a gentle nudge)

I look at the stars in the sky, every single morning, and say a prayer that today will be the day.........and I will not stop until that day comes.......

San Leandro print store owner Sherri Miller, who has organized several searches for the boy, said volunteers are needed at 8 a.m. Saturday at the park, which is at 34600 Ardenwood Boulevard in Fremont. Volunteers should meet at the main entrance.
