What is the big secret of where she was found?

I assume if I went to other forums I would probably know... Which I don't...

But in which case, it is hardly secret so why not release the info...

Jmo.
My guess is that one or more persons have some sort of deal with prosecutors or, less likely, they came forward as witnesses.

“Anthony Gumina is accused of killing her. A criminal complaint filed by the El Dorado County District Attorney's Office says that he killed his wife because she was a witness to a crime and that she was “intentionally killed to prevent her from testifying in a criminal proceeding."”

Ugh!!! So sickened by this her poor kids...being a teenager already sucks but to have this. Thankful their grandmother is there for them.

Does anyone know if the criminal proceedings were about the domestic abuse? If he killed her to prevent her from testifying about how he was abusing her...that just boggles my mind

The pending charges against him prior to this 187 were felony DV charges for conduct by him onto her. I am personally of the belief this was his motive.

We have not released how and where she was found but I suspect it’ll be in the news soon.

I also know his lawyer well and I guarantee he doesn’t believe himself when he says Gumina was distraught over heather being missing. That’s laughable.

The 44-year-old, who is currently serving a five-year probation term after being convicted of burglary and witness intimidation in February 2017 for an incident in which he threatened to kill a former business associate and burn down his house, claimed that the headbutting incident was ‘a misunderstanding’ but also said she had called the cops in a deliberate attempt to have him sent back to jail.

In his own words, he was not going back to jail. H e was already on probation, so in addition to the DV charges, he would likely have to serve more time on the parole revocation. MOTIVE ...

That sounds likely to me.

And so he chooses life in prison or the death penalty instead. Brilliant.

They both had EQUAL baggage going into their relationship from what I have read....just because she is a woman doesn't mean hers didn't "exist".

Yeah but she's the one who ended up injured, missing and dead. He has past DV issues. I didn't see anything to do with acts of violence on her part. Did you?

The husband of Heather Gumina Waters, whose remains were found by authorities in California on Friday, may have killed her to stop her "from testifying in a criminal proceeding," according to court documents.

Anthony Gumina, 44, appeared in court Wednesday after his 33-year-old wife's body was found at a property in the Pleasant Valley area of El Dorado County, bringing the months-long search for the missing mother of three to a close.

Court documents obtained by KTXL reveal Gumina had a history of violence toward his wife, who he married in February, and others, including a former business partner.

In January 2019, Gumina was charged after head-butting Heather and tackling her as she was holding her 4-year-old son, the station reports, citing an El Dorado County probation violation report. During the incident, Gumina also allegedly kicked down a door and took the victim's phone to prevent her from calling for help.

In February 2017, Gumina and his father allegedly went to the home of a former business partner and threatened to kill him and burn down his house, kicking in the door and pushing the victim to the ground in the process. Court records showed both men tested positive for opioids and methamphetamines at the time of their arrest.

Most recently, Gumina was accused of breaking his wife's collarbone the day before she and her vehicle were reported missing on July 16. However, it remains unclear which incident prosecutors allege Heather was set to testify about.

Gumina is currently being held in the El Dorado County jail without bail, according to KCRA. His arraignment has been continued until Sept. 26.

I wonder if dear old dad was the one who helped him leave her car in the Mormon Emigrant Trail area and get back home?

Having just married in February, court documents show Gumina had a history of violence toward his wife and others.

In January, Gumina was charged with headbutting Heather and tackling her while she held her 4-year-old son, according to an El Dorado County probation violation report. The document goes on to say Gumina kicked in doors and forcibly removed phones from Heather in order to prevent her from dialing 911.

Gumina is also currently on felony probation in the state of Oklahoma for possession of a firearm. That probation expires in October 2021.

The most recent case filed on Sept. 6 accuses Gumina of breaking his wife’s collarbone the night before she went missing.

Waldow said she spoke with Gumina Waters that very same night after she left the hospital.

“I called her and talked to her and she’s like, ‘I can still come to work.’ And I’m like, ‘You can’t come to work with a broken collarbone,’” she recalled.

“When she came to work, she left her personal stuff at the door,” Waldow said. “And had some people known, they would have said something or did something.”

Gumina is expected to be arraigned either Tuesday or Wednesday.

His lawyer said Gumina was distraught when his wife disappeared and has always cooperated with the authorities.
Documents Reveal Heather Gumina Waters’ Husband has History of Violence

i knew it! he broke her collarbone. this is what she was "Witness" to.

Let's all remember, he took her to the hospital when she received treatment for the broken collar bone. Also that time he kicked down doors and headbutted her, he took her phone so she couldn't call 911. He said she was trying to send him BACK to jail.

The day after the ER visit Heather disappears.

he took her to keep an eye on her so she wouldn't say anything.
