its a garage that was staged as extra living space. you can see the garage door opener on the ceiling.

Exactly, which is why I asked if the original poster is certain that Heidi used it as livingroom. If I was driving a relatively new Range Rover and had the opportunity to park it in a garage, I would, but maybe that is just me.

Yeah, but is that the front garage space or back that’s staged? Looking through the photos, I’m not sure you can see into the front garage area. Maybe I’m looking wrong. The two garage doors is is throwing me off.

It does say there are 4 parking spaces, so maybe there is a front garage and a back garage.

There appears to be a shared parking space between the two houses. The lor was subdivided to create and build 2 houses.
The back house was assigned 3131 Helms.
I’ve wondered, makes sense, that there is a back door out of her house, right?
In older property photos back when the old Tudor that was then torn down after sale in sold in 2015, it shows gate access to the street behind the property, too.

Looks like the back garage is the one we see in the interior photo

Large living room opens thru glass wall to the patio and to the finished garage used as a family room/office.

I think that pic is of the garage at the very front of the house. IMO 4 parking spaces would mean 2 in the garage, 2 on the driveway. JMO

I agree

ETA: I misread what you said. I thought it said a shared space.

That part on the side would just be how 3131 would access their house, as well as a way to get to the back of HP's.

The two houses are so close together so it looks at first like its one huge house

So I wasn’t as confused as I thought.

Until this, so are the two garage doors, two separate houses? That’s not just one large house?

Ruminating on last known site of HP and doggie Seven- the nice, new

It’s two houses, Keyedin.
There are several renderings online of proposed construction before 2020- houses were built in 2018/19.
The back house is 3131. Heidi’s is 3129.
Someplace in the Wayback machine- :) there are deed and subdivision records posted here. And I looked at property histories, appraisals, sale, deed, street and adjacent records too.
Sure seems to be a tangly wheeler dealer kindof space. IMOO MOO

Two houses, from my understanding. Somewhere deep in thread 1 there was discussion about the property records showing that the lot had been divided into two properties.

In this pic of the back of HP's house you can see they don't actually connect.

[JMO that lot is too small for that but whatcha gonna do]

There are no garages. I don't remember if I posted links but I think it was Truthobserver who did.
The property descriptions and details about parking, etc, are all online at various Realtor listings.

Every description I've seen says there is garage space. Zillow lists it as Large living room opens thru glass wall to the patio and to the finished garage used as a family room/office.

Regardless of whether HP used it as a garage or living space, to the outsider (JS, perhaps) it LOOKS like there is a garage, which I think is what this all comes down to MOO

That description ties to the old, original house, the 1926 or so little Tudor that was torn down.

In SoCal, a finished garage used as family room or office, and sold under that description is no longer what we would call a "garage." To put nice clooring and drywall etc. into a garage and then park your car in it...well, I've never seen anyone do that.

It's against code most places to call it a bedroom or to have a bed in it (don't know why). But it can certainly be a family room, music studio or office.

This case is so confusing. I don't think I'll ever catch up.
