Update: Law enforcement sources told The Times that the gunman was in the car with his girlfriend. He shot her, opened fire on officers and ran inside the store. There is no word on the girlfriend’s condition. (link: https://lat.ms/2Lzm1lN)

Hey CARIIS. There are reports he is injured. He was fleeing with LE in pursuit when he crashed into the pole. He had shot his Grandmother prior. GF was in the car, he shot her then exchanged gun fire with LE and ran into Trader Joe's.

Silver Lake suspect has emerged from the Trader Joe's, already handcuffed, with a group of 4 hostages who all seem to be healthy. It appears this situation has come to a peaceful end. We're live on @ABC7

#UPDATE: We have successfully taken the suspect into custody without incident. The situation remains fluid as officers move forward clearing the location.
