Truly hoping for the best outcome for Jacob and all of you! I'm not able to do any calling around myself at the moment as I am at work, but I am happy to send you some phone numbers for the local police department, community college police, and county sheriff's department if you don't have those. Although applying is voluntary, we encourage any/all insiders to apply. It is a very simple process, and it takes perhaps 2 or 3 days to be approved. Once approved, insiders do not need to provide links to what they state as fact about their knowledge of the case (compared to being a regular member who is required to provide links to info stated as fact).

Am seeing some personal pages of friends and family, but no official "Help Find .." where family are Admin. If findingjacob gets verified and gives approval for us to link to her personal page, we can do that.

Pittsburg and Lodi are about an hour's drive from one another.

Editing again to add that KRON4 News website states the body found in the above-mentioned lake is an approximately 25-year old male, but no further details at this time. This is making my tummy a little anxious, to be honest...

If family can't get info from LE or Coroner regarding this, they should look in the area for his car. IMO
 
Read on Facebook from a family member his phone pinged in San Francisco last night , which is 1 hour and 30 mins west of San Joaquin County/ Lodi. I live out in Lodi and keeping a lookout for him

Celestial Love posted a picture of the two of them kissing with San Francisco in the background on her Facebook page. They are likely on pier 7 west of the Ferry Building. I can see the Transamerica building and Four Embarcadero in the background. I don't know where else on the waterfront that you could get that angle.

Maybe San Francisco is special to him?

Also saw in the comments portion that they (Lodi PD) have confirmed the body found in Pittsburg is not related to Jacob. Thank goodness for that!
 
It really doesn't seem as if he left voluntarily. This article says he picked up a takeout meal for his girlfriend at the restaurant. If he had been planning to leave, it would have made no sense to do that.

The Lodi Police Department is searching for Jacob VanZant. Loved ones of the missing 24-year-old Stockton man are searching, too, and desperate for answers after he disappeared Friday after leaving a Lodi restaurant.
