I thought the same thing! There's literally no information on Jennifer's disappearance online sadly, which is strange considering LE doesn't believe she's missing of her own free will. They must have reason to assume that, anyhow I decided to create a thread for her in hopes in creates further awareness of her case.

I went to school with her in Sylmar CA. She was very kind and funny. I have always hoped they would find her and what happened. I found this when I was just randomly trying to see of there were updates

I also have found absolutely nothing on her disappearance. It’s be one thing if this was a cold case from the 50’s in a remote part of the country…

Can I ask a few questions? (maybe answers could help a few WS’s who are much more talented than me):

-Did you know her from high school or college?
-Did she grow up in Sylmar?
-Did you her family?
-When did you become aware that she had gone missing?
-When you knew her, was she single or married (is JMW a married name?)
-Do you know if she was living with anybody at the time of her disappearance?
-Was her disappearance in the news? (Maybe somebody on WS knows how to check newspaper archives / databases for the week or two after she went missing).
-Do you know who reported her missing?

She grew up in Sylmar and I didn't know her family. We lost touch after high-school. I moved out of state. I heard from a mutual friend about her I am not sure but maybe a couple years after she was missing. I know she had a child with someone but I dont think they were together when she went missing. I heard she struggled with substance abuse consequently I don't think it was public. I feel like the general puts less value on the lives of individuals who may struggle with this.

Jennifer is my older brothers mom. My brother and I share the same dad and they weren't together when she disappeared, he had already married my mom and had kids with her. From what I've been told Jennifer had substance issues and would often come and go out of my brothers life. Supposedly she had a boyfriend at the time of her disappearance, they took off together and she just never came back. I have no clue who he was as I was only 2 years old when she vanished. Her disappearance has always haunted me for some reason, I think about her so often and when I was a little girl I used to have dreams about her wearing a long white dress and roaming around in the desert barefoot. I pray that wherever she is, she's at peace. And I pray that one day somebody can get to the bottom of it so the rest of her loved ones can have some closure.
