That is certainly what you would hope. Maybe they figured Merritt with his criminal record would be an easier mark. They probably didn't have much of a choice considering Ramos was on their backs demanding an arrest.
Well that's a flat argument since there were others in the McStay arena who also had criminal records.
 
Went back and listened to Sarah Kane's testimony. I had to chuckle when Daughtrey moved to strike Kane's entire testimony because she is an "incompetent custodian of records". lol
Unnecessary and rude comments such as that one may come back to bite him in the butt. I'm willing to bet at least one juror is a "custodian of records". Intentional rudeness during a public forum is uncalled for. imho

It was not Daugherty. It was Imes, the most arrogant and rudest counsel seen in this trial. Very incompetent as well, as more than half his utterances were "objection".

I would be surprised if either side allowed a records custodian to sit on the jury, especially if they are employed in the law enforcement circle.

Yeah, I agree. He needs to dial it back a notch. Or as Citygirl says, he needs to "slow his roll`!
