I find it so hypocritical to say that it's suspicious that Chase couldn't remember what he did on what day when we hear 2 officers asking him what he did on the 8th and to help him remember they tell him it's President's day.. a holiday... kids weren't in school. President's day was only 2 days previous and they couldn't remember that? but they expect him to remember every detail.:D
He could remember what they discussed at lunch (money) but nothing after 5 pm, couldn't remember his own address, Summer's name, calling the truck "little white car". Then he suddenly remembers Joseph calling him when he wasn't home watching a movie on a tv they didn't have.

His story is full of convoluted bullpucky. Early Alzheimer's? No way.

Late start on Thursday. The juror that was in a car accident last week has a doctor's appointment. He currently has a cast on his arm. Jury reports at 11 am PST/2 pm EST, however Judge and attorneys meeting 30 mins earlier to go over some matters.

(But we know from Cricket that it wasn't a car accident.)

It wasn't a car accident. I was sitting right there when he walked up and I heard him say he was injured taking storage containers down from the rafters in his garage.

I think the flaw is that Joey was such a lovely guy that If Chase asked him to borrow him money then he would have.

So the fact he stole is a clue to knowing that something had happened that meant Joey wasn’t going to be the sugar daddy any longer or Chase could of just asked to borrow more money instead of ruining everything.

I think Summer had finally had enough of Chase and Joey and her had a discussion (argument) about finances and Chase had to go.

IMO

The thing is we do not know the excuse CM thought Joey would buy, just like all of the lies he had told for years had worked to get what he wanted, and received

Pathological liars always, always, are full convinced their pack of lies will be believed. That's why they tell them.

Oh I do believe this was the final straw that finally broke the camel's back. No doubt about, but CM knew that same camel had fallen for his con games for years before then.

In CMs egotistical mind, he wouldn't have any reason to believe it wouldn't work like it had for years.

He knew joey had bought his ridiculous lies for years and wouldnt think this would be any different, based on all of his past history with Joey.

Imo

Yes this I agree with he used people but he never used violence or murdered people. Which is why this was personal and not simply greed.

Something happened that made this escalate out of control and end in a family losing their lives.

Maybe it all does simply boil down to Summer and his complete and utter hatred of her that set him over the edge.

BBM

That's what I'm thinking too.

But what's telling is he didn't correct them, and neither did his GF. It threw him off of his pre-scripted line of babble and his GF got sucked right into it, even though she had kids who obviously had that day off from school.
LE doesn't have to be truthful in these interviews.

I listened to it. I think it was Jarvis/Merritt that figured it was not president's day, the monday before. Either way.... I still think it's hypocritical. JMO

Just a heads up... I don't think the feed is going to be any better today. I opened it about 10 minutes ago and it's been buffering. Read in chat that if you have Edge, that it seems to work better. I found yesterday that it was good on my phone, so might have to turn it on and listen from there today. I appreciate that Law & Crime is streaming it, and that they put up the video's after.... but I wish they could figure it out.

They are live... think it's just the attorney's.

Yes, that part set me off too---about the 25k files being scanned during the time the 'credit report' was supposed to be being searched. So it is no longer a likely assumption that Chase was sitting there on the computer on Feb 8th. One more piece of evidence, falling by the wayside it seems.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen this testimony yet. But I can say that auto-scheduled hard disk scans can run in the background while a user is accessing the internet. They are usually associated with something like a virus scan, a backup, or a system image. So yes, CM could have been on the computer while other stuff was going on with the system in the background.

Imagine being asked where you were on the night your business partner disappeared forever

No way you'd figure it out I guess

The officer that was testifying, if I heard it correctly, changed his opinion. On Thursday he said it was a user accessed, and yesterday said it was system accessed. These are 2 very different things.

I could go on vacation for a month, if I leave my computer on, scheduled scans will run, they will access all my files and scan them, including bookmarks, no one needs to touch my computer. If the State had to use 1 file out of thousands to try to show he accessed the computer at that time, I think that is very troubling. But JMO The defense was hinting at this on Thursday, but I wasn't sure if they would be able to "show it". They did.

Snipperoo just to focus in on this

Sociopaths will often create crises like these because they have low impulse control, frequently underestimate the consequences of their actions, and are excessive risk takers.

Unfortunately I have personal experience of this where the sociopath will come up with wild plans that will obviously lead to disaster but demand that everyone dive in

Often they have been secretly working on this idea before either deceptively introducing it, or getting caught in the act
