Kayeleigh Alyssa Gammill's, 20, body was found discarded in Big Sur in late August after being reported missing two weeks prior on August 17. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office says they have no further information to give at this time.
They are investigating various leads and would not disclose her cause of death or if they had a suspect.

Kayleigh went missing on August 17th from her home at Tynan Village in Salinas. She was found nearly two weeks later in Big Sur on August 30th, her family told KION.
Investigators told her family that she was found about 200 yards from the road and about a mile away from Dolan Creek. Investigators are unsure whether her body was dumped there or if she died where she was found.

Jennifer's gut tells her Kayeleigh was likely killed the day she went missing. Her remains were found way out, close to the closure near Paul's Slide.

For her mother Jennifer, it would make all the difference to get closure and feel like there is justice for her daughter Kayeleigh who had a whole life ahead of her at just 20 years old.
Just a few weeks after Kayeleigh was found, another young woman from Salinas went missing. Her car was found abandoned in Big Sur. For months, Arelie Garcia's family has protested for more answers.
Police in Pacific Grove are looking for a man believed to be at risk since July, her car was also found abandoned in Big Sur.
Note: CA Route 1, also known as the Cabrillo Highway, Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and other names, is well-known for frequent, often lengthy closures due to washouts and landslides. Paul's Slide, near where "KK" was found, is one such example, shown here on Google Maps:
