She looks maybe "to beautiful" in the reconstruction and more Hispanic/Latino, Native or almost Asian to me, but could it be

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/34827/1/ Stephanie Hunsberger? Please look at the other pictures, because the one you see first is with curly hair...the others are with darker/longer hair. Time line fits, hight fits (estimated) age fits, hair colour fits. DNA not yet submitted. The only thing bottering me is the distance between Kern county CA and Montgomery county PA.

I'm going on searching like a "happy camper"

The other ones missing in this time line (on Namus, with Red/Auburn hair) don't ring a bell with me...like Merilyn Walz, Ann Ellinwood and Mary Weekly.

I was also thinking of Rebecca Rodriguez https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/12861/1/ but she went missing in july 1977 and that would not fit with the postmortem interval.

It could possibly be Stephanie, I think someone said she and her husband, who is also missing, might have headed to CA?
I'm going by memory here, so that may not be reliable. She has a thread if you want to check it out.
If it turns out to be her, CODIS should pick up the potential match once her DNA profile is complete and uploaded. It's in the works, according to NamUs.

Yes, dna not ready, Im going to check the thread, Thanks.....

Who is Ivan? :) and thanks for the link but nothing showing there.....it says no matches

My name is Ivan ;) nothing; when I entered the thread of this case in the forum I have not been since there was a reconstruction of face of this girl in unidentified wikipedia ;)

As I stated she had a cold chain, no two silver chains....(and she is my girly...the one I keep close to my hart....not for any reason....she just touched my hart)

and I still think she is Aroya Grande Jane Doe....

This is local-ish to me. Arvin is primarily agriculture, and a lot of the work is seasonal. The current population is 93% Hispanic. Those facts, combined with the religious medallion (usually worn by Catholics) make me think about there's an excellent possibility that this girl was a migrant worker or child of migrant workers. Arvin is pretty out of the way for someone to have picked to bury some of these other girls - you don't just happen upon Arvin.

Wait I'm confused, how can this Jane doe be another Jane doe? Also do you have a link to the necklace info?

Haha no, Although I see a resemblance, and I wish there is going to be closer to her case I think that Mary Leah Rodermund is not Arvin Jane Doe (the JD in this thread) but possibly Aroya Grande Jane Doe.

As for the gold chain of Mary, you can find that in the Namus file (clothing and accessories) https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/23885/8

Or the killer was smart and put the silver chains around her neck to mislead LE as he/she also chopped of the hands so nobody could identify her by fingerprints.....

Ah, that makes more sense! I thought you were saying the namus page for this doe got the necklaces wrong. I think the jewelry isn't really too much of a rule out, people get those sorts of things wrong all the time. Its possible the family misremembered what she was wearing ect when filing the report.

I could go along with Mary just at the one picture, but look at her other pictures.

I could be wrong on this, but I think Mary fits the circumstances very well. Its the right time frame, and the guy they think killed her was from California wasn't he? And apparently he kidnapped her and didn't just immediately kill her. Maybe he took her back to CA and killed her there, or some variant of that situation?

The timeline fits perfectly, Also the auburn/reddish/blond hair.

I could not find a thread on Mary. Here some links about her http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/r/rodermund_mary.html
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=82286022 http://www.nampn.org/cases/rodermund_mary.html

and something about her supposed murder http://murderpedia.org/male.H/h/hohenberger-robert.htm indeed he had a link to CA. And also he had? been a cop (knowing how to make it difficult to LE identify somebody, by taking the hands of the body)

I'm not into his modes operandi, maybe someone else knows more about that....
