If she used a restroom, there would be DNA in it... would LE have checked any "faciities" when she was reported missing? Or was everyone focused on finding a person at that point? I would think all stuctures would have been searched but I do not know about swabbed.
I don't know about DNA testing but I sure hope LE has checked all the restrooms (including down in the vaults, sorry) just because a person is missing and they need to make sure she's not there. Again, sorry for the graphic image -- I've been reading lots of murder mysteries lately.

Thank you - not confirmed but 2-3 hours at a party, coherent enough to be granted a curfew extension of 1 hour 2 hours into the party. Who was with her when she called her mom - who did she tell her mom she was with. Why did she want to stay out later? I'm guessing her mom asked a couple of questions before extending curfew.

6:08 PM - last video image
9-10 PM - arrived at party
11:30 PM - requested 1 hr curfew extension
12:01 AM - left party
12:33 AM - dead phone
12:36 AM - last phone call
We don't know where Kiely was between being seen on CCTV at a store at 6pm, and getting to the party at 10pm.

That's 4 hours unaccounted for, and as her Mom hasn't said what Kiely was up to that afternoon/early evening, this indicates that:

A) Kiely's Mom didn't know where she was.
B) Kiely wasn't at home.
C) Nobody has come forward and said Kiely was with them before the party.

Which makes me question who she was with and where she was with them.

MOO.
No offense but I don’t understand how we could jump to the conclusion that Kiely’s mom didn’t know where she was in the afternoon. She has said they always stay in touch to one degree or another. As for not sharing details of her whereabouts if Mom has them, she seems committed to not talking about Kiely’s friends or thinking or saying anything “negative.” She is trying to stay in a space of gratitude, I get that.
After all, those before party factoids have no apparent bearing on what happened to Kiely after her friends left her out there alone. If it comes to light that there was some relevant event or interaction before leaving for the party, LE will let us know. At this point it may be an important part of the puzzle that kids won’t give up. Neither the kids or their parents seem willing.
Anecdotally, Kate Cuone said in the interview with JW on Fox4- repeatedly posted here last week- that they made creme broulee that afternoon. Ergo pages of speculation.
SS declared clearly in the American Dream interview- repeatedly posted here and transcribed last week- that she did not drive out there with Kiely. That Kiely went to the campground party with Mags because they had been together earlier that day. Mags has not confirmed or denied that statement. She did say she only stayed at the party for 10 minutes, leaving with her boyfriend.

Who knows? The pre party info, who was in the car during the hour or so before Kiely disappeared and where did they end up, might be helpful and may be a big part of making sense out of the terrible night at Prosser.

The restroom discussion jogged a memory. There is a restroom on the boat ramp road. It’s located near the group campground, (Prosser Ranch Group). This is about .4 miles from the area where the party was. What if Kiely decided to use this restroom before she began her drive home.? She has been left by her friends at this point and maybe doesn’t feel comfortable going to pee in the woods by herself. If she decided to drive over there, maybe she was assaulted by someone who was lurking in that area, and who was not necessarily a fellow party goer, when she was getting in or out of her car.
Another thought I had was perhaps she drove down to the “beach” or ramp area with someone she met at the party to make out or just talk and things went wrong. In this scenario the perpetrator throws KR’s phone into the lake and drives off with her in her car.
I think a lot of us think that a drive off a ramp or ravine is the most likely cause of KR’s disappearance and with no new info forthcoming, it’s getting harder to come up with different plausible scenarios.
Perhaps AWP will get us some answers in the coming days.

It is logical. The restroom idea. Women spend more time in the restroom than men; any female restroom is more likely to be occupied at any given moment. I wonder if a peep was looking for any female victim next to the restroom.

I must say, that was a pretty bold statement for LE to make, IMO. A couple threads back? LE said some were not cooperating, and then at the presser, they state that had been cleared up right? Or am I remembering wrong?

Now, LE make a statement to specifically call out those that are not cooperating. It appears to me they are truly frustrated by this. It definitely has me doing a double take on my theories. JMO.
Earlier this week, Lt. Joshua Barnhart acknowledged “an isolated incident we were able to get past” in which certain adults were advising teens and young adults not to speak with investigators. It’s not clear if something dramatic changed between that news conference on Tuesday and when Musallam spoke with the Post on Thursday.

Investigators have photos of Rodni at the party, but no one has come forward to say they saw her leave. Musallam told the Post the investigators think that someone has an idea where Rodni may have been heading.

“We ask people who know something, do you want this to weigh on your conscience?” she said. “You will have to live for the rest of your life knowing a family won’t have closure about where their daughter is.”

Detectives are still actively searching — soon to be joined by a rogue search and rescue group Adventures with Purpose.

"We do have a rep from the sheriff's office who will be working with them ... They will not join forces with law enforcement in the search for Kiely," said Musallam.

My take on this is that SS wants to emphasize that she wasn't talking on the phone while driving. Of course she already described that she had gotten a ride home with others and thus logically wouldn't be driving.

I think the "pretty much" on 89 comment is because the conversation with KR took a minute or two to play out, and maybe SS's ride was "approaching" 89 when KR called, but not quite there yet. From the maps we can see that, depending on exactly where the party area was, it looks like it's between 1-2 miles to get to 89. So it wouldn't take long at all. KR/SS phone call could easily have happened before/just as the car reached/turned onto 89.

I wonder how common it is for second home owners to arrange for a high school kid to "keep an eye on the place" rather than pay a property management company. Can locals say whether that's a thing in Truckee?

It seems unlikely to me that a group of kids would have gone to any house they're not supposed to have access to, just due to the prevalence of Ring cameras around every neighborhood. So if there was some kind of after-event, I'm thinking the home (with absent parents) of one of the attendees, or the lodging wherever the out-of-town visiting attendees were staying, or else someplace isolated/remote enough that Ring-type cameras weren't a concern.

MOO
This was totally a thing when I was in high school in Tahoe about 6 years ago (though I can't say for Truckee specifically). There were at least 2 family friends/neighbors who paid me to go over and turn water on and off, shovel snow, check for mouse droppings etc. in their seasonal homes.

You also end up inadvertently memorizing a little mental schedule for the houses around you as a local who's there year round. 'Oh, the one with the red door, they're here all summer every summer' or 'The two-story with the big deck and paned windows always come for 2 weeks at Christmas and then again for Easter' etc. As people have said already, it's a little different post-covid because so many people have moved in permanently, but I still think this is a possibility if what happened to Kiely wasn't a car accident. (<- editing to add especially after the "people aren't talking to us" update from LE.)

I for one speculated that maybe the creme brulees were shots made for the party. As shrooms and all manner of drugs have been speculated upon, I don't see the harm in discussing shots.

I don't believe it's been stated as fact, just a thought that's morphed over time.

I strongly believe Kiely was involved in some sort of accident on her way home, yet welcome and discuss different thoughts and theories, however far reaching.

LE has been very careful to not name anyone that was at the party and are not releasing video footage they have received (I believe for the same reason). LE wants to protect the anonymity of the kids so more may come forward with information. Plus, they don't want more kids subject to unwarranted speculation. I think SS has got that message, too. She is not outing anyone that was at the party.
I interpreted Meg's statement to indicate that she was a little intimidated. Her bf may have been at the party, they had just not found each other yet.
I'm not so puzzled about what LE has released, but the total lack of SM at the party. There would be more at a grandparents B-day party. The fact that no one else at that party has come forward.

There's actual campgrounds in that area, where people tent camp, and camp in trailers, RVs, vans, etc. But there's also lots of forest service roads and "dispersed" camping areas. There was likely lots of different groups of people. When I was a teen it would have been a dream come true to stumble on a party like this. We were always looking for partys and girls. Even as a young adult, I could imagine wanted to go check out the loud party near by.
Yes, this is what I have considered. Was it a big party, or were there just different groups of people in close enough proximity to wonder over.

A thought: I wonder if there was anyone of interest on the store security footage and then also at the party? Vehicles outside, that sort of thing.

Commenting on Kiely saying she was going to get "So effed up" made me think of this.

I wonder who purchased the alcohol she had in her CRV, when, and where?

When I was underage, we actually would hang around convenience stores and ask older guys to buy for us. I wonder if something like this happened, and she asked someone who turned out to have bad intent? i.e. "Yeah, big party tonight at Prosser. Thanks, Man...I can't wait to go get effed up? Woohoo! Have a good one!" That kind of thing.

My primary theory is still the same; KR will sadly be found with her SUV under water.

That said, I can't help draw parallels to this case and that of Chelsea Bruck in 2014.
Large, seemingly out of control party, allegedly inebriated young woman left behind by her friend. In Chelsea's case the Perp was a known acquaintance who saw the vulnerable young woman and exacted his evil. Chelsea was found many months later, and the Perp is behind bars.

In this case, we know KR had a vehicle, was allegedly in an altered state, it was nighttime, and she was a relatively new driver. That is a bad recipe for tragedy. While there is always a concern of a crime when there is a young woman at a large party (altered and left by her friend), I do think the most likely scenario is a tragic accident. If anyone can find her underwater, it is AWP.

Amateur opinion and speculation

Long-time lurker, first time poster. I've read every post on all 4 threads.
Here is a thought.
When KR texted her mom and realized that her mom was essentially going to sleep ("wake me when you get home"), it gave KR a little extra boldness to push the curfew. Therefore, as the party was breaking up/splitting off, she calls SS to be sure she did indeed get out (as she is a conscientious friend), then proceeded to turn off her phone preventing her mom from looking back at her locations the next day. I do this with my kids- I frequently look back the next morning on their routes/locations/times for the night before to make sure they did what they told me they did when they told me they did it. How clever would it be to just turn one's phone off, go to an after-party, then sneak in MUCH later than curfew while mom was asleep. The next day you could claim the locator app glitched, you don't know why it still shows you at the campground, you don't know why it didn't show you driving straight home at 12:30. Just a theory as a mom of teens.
Welcome @flckrct...concur, very plausible scenario. Great 1st time post!

SAME x laughing at the grandparents comment bc i have a huge family where many attend those sorts of events. i see my nieces 19 & 14 literally on their phones all day and night! something is so fishy about the lack of social media presence on this night of all nights! MOO.

I'm sure it is out there, or rather it was.

The difference is a grandparents birthday party is going to look like this: "Here we are at Beekarina's party, me and Alex down by the dock with our margs. Cheers!" followed by 25 people on Facebook saying " You guys look great! So cute!" etc.

Teens are more likely to be on SnapChat, TikTok (maybe), whatever BeReal is (new one to me), or the multiple instagram accounts, where it would probably be blurry shots of someone laughing, group partying, etc.

They have a "public" social media that is for parents to see, and others we have no idea about, or little idea about. Healthy to a degree, but potentially scary and problematic.
