#BREAKING: SLO County District Attorney charges Paul Flores with first degree murder during commission of attempted rape in #KristinSmart case. His father Ruben Flores is charged with accessory to murder after the fact. Both are due in court tomorrow.

Statute of limitation for rape has expired, District Attorney Dow said. The allegations that #rape was committed or attempted the rape is the basis for filing felony murder charges. #KristinSmart

Susan Flores has not been charged in relation to the #kristinsmart case. Only Paul and Ruben Flores.

“We don’t want to jeopardized the fair process moving forward,” Dow said. “Significant information has come in over the past two years, and in the past month ago. ... We believe there’s a location where Kristin Smart was taken.”

But Dow said investigators believe they know the general location of where Smart’s body is buried, but won’t get into details.

and even this- - I hope someone, somewhere comes forward to help apply the pressure!

Dow said he is asking the public for information they may have about Flores committing additional “assaults or other acts.”

He was known to frequent bars in San Pedro from 2005 until the present day. Those with information may call 805-549-7867.

Like everyone else, I am itching to know what evidence LE has uncovered (might there be DNA?), but it appears that we will have to be patient. I am particularly interested to know what evidence they have on RF, PF's dad. I am encouraged by DA Dow's confidence, however.
 
BREAKING: San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow says Paul Flores allegedly raped and killed Kristin Smart and that Paul’s father, Ruben, allegedly helped conceal the body after the murder was committed. Both are expected appear in court April 15th. @KSBY

Same. I was thinking at first maybe evidence from the PCs or monitoring texts and calls. But then I wondered while listening to the wording from Dow if it was based on Paul’s reputation and their interviews with people, including his girlfriend (ex) or others he was closer too. Also why they were thinking there were possibly others-it may be his just his MO/personality or something along those lines. Just my thoughts.
