Many of the questions Denise Smart has been asked so far surround Kristin’s relationship to her family, her life at school, and steps taken after her last conversation with her family.

Questions included Kristin’s future plans, trips outside of C.A., access to money, how she liked Cal Poly, and if the last time her family visited her they left on good terms.

Denise was asked to look at three pictures at the start. The first one was a picture of the Smart family on vacation in Hawaii, the second was a graduation photo of Kristin, and the third a picture of Kristin in ‘96 after she dyed her hair brown. The family photo remained shown.

Significant events in Kristin’s siblings lives included graduation from high school and universities, marriages, and 5 nieces and nephews born. All of which Denise Smart says Kristin would never had missed.

After the break, Denise was asked if she was aware that Kristin applied for modeling agencies outside of CA and the USA, had boyfriends, used nicknames, and went missing at her camp in Hawaii. Denise was not aware of any of these instances.

Denise was also asked if Kristin liked Taco Bell and if she was aware that Kristin was spotted at 3 different Taco Bells. Smart said she has heard that Kristin was spotted 100 times and kept up with all investigations.

Denise was asked about funds that Kristin could access after her disappearance. Kristin would not have been able to access any. Kristin did not have a CA drivers license or a car either.

While Denise and Kristin regularly communicated on her trips, Denise says it was harder overseas due to technology 25 years ago not being as accessible as it is now. They sent letters overseas.

The last questions Denise was asked before the break included if she had conversations with Kristin about her boyfriends and answered not at Poly. She was asked if she spoke with Kristin’s roommate after the disappearance, answered yes. Denise is excused, subject to recall.
