She looks Latina to me. I wonder if some of the tattoos are astrology-related. Maybe she and/or a close loved one are a Cancer (crab) or Scorpio (scorpion). Wish there were pictures of the tattoo.

Made a quick recon of Los Angeles Jane Doe - I feel like she's on the younger side of the age range.
Yes, I would guess her age range is 25-35.

Then you have tattoos, which in 1982 would have been indicative of a younger age.

But then, her tattoos are in private areas...so I dunno...Just didn't know any women with tattoos back then

This Doe's page was recently updated, and I think the second sentence below is new info? The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Circumstances of Recovery
On 02/12/1982 the decedent was found at a construction site with an apparent self inflicted gunshot would to her head. She was dressed in male clothing with short hair in a male-style haircut and was originally thought to be a male by officers.

This is important info - it sounds like this Doe was probably LGBT+, and that could help identify them. 1982 was a long time ago, but friends in the LGBT+ community from back then might be missing them. Or if they were trans, they might have been known as a man to their friends - perhaps someone (other than a family member) even reported them missing as a man. I wonder if the Trans Doe Task Force is aware of this case?

Also, their race has been updated to say White/Hispanic/Other instead of just White.

Looks non white, definitely. Somehow very South Asian (India, Bangladeshi, Afghan) or maybe Hispanic, Native or even light skinned AA.

I wonder if they were estranged from family if they lived a trans- or nonbinary or at least a life that was nonconforming to traditional female gender roles. Or she was a butch lesbian. Especially if the UID came from a traditional South Asian or Arab or Iranian family I can imagine it would lead to tension with the family. Would explain why theyre not on anyones radar, sadly. The LGBTQ+ community may also not remember them, they may not have been active in it and also it is highly diverse, mobile and fluid.

Tiger tattoo may indicate a South Asian background.

I hope they get their name back soon.

The tiger tattoo may also be a reference to Chinese zodiac. 1974, 1962 and 1950 were years of the tiger. If they were born in November 1962, they were 19, if born in November 1950, they were 32 in 1982, which is kind of what i suspect.
Born in November 1950.

The LGBTQ+ community was also decimated by HIV/AIDS in the 80s and 90s, so a lot of their community and friends may have passed away then, sadly. The LGBTQ+ community (I am in the community myself) does also have a problem with racism and sometimes transphobia, for example there are a niche of white gay men who wouldn't even be friends with black/hispanic/Asian gay men, let alone date them. If this person where a trans gay man, they may have faces transphobia from cis gay men. Hopefully someone can do DNA for them.
