It's a rather unusual step that they're blurring out his face. So much for people coming forward with more important evidence.
Also, the Tapia Park alert over the weekend involved a report of a man with 'scraggly' hair. This dude doesn't appear to fit that description. His hair - what we can see of it - looks like it's been cut recently. I would say that cuts against the 'survivalist' trope.
And as wacky as the Local can be, she predicted this turn of events last week, complete with the 'exclusive' to KNBC.
Not sure what's really going on here but I wouldn't be rushing back to the park to stay overnight in the campground.
A criminal dressed in black, burglarizing buildings, living in the campground and carrying a rifle?
This is an insanely good lead.
And why aren't they asking the public for help by showing his face? Probably because they don't need our help.
The moment they saw him on video with a rifle, they probably had ballistics experts quickly determine whether the rifle seen on video could be connected to TB's shooting.
Why are the chances that a crazy, armed burglar living in the state park has nothing to do with the shootings? IMO, remote.
RIGHT. And now they can check that weapon and see if it is the one that killed that poor father. That doesn't take too long to match the bullets , etc.
Right. But cant they also shoot the rifle and compare the strathings on the bullets from the murder to the bullets coming from the rifle, to see if it is the specific rifle that shot the camper?I'm betting...yes.
I'm sure they could tell if it could be a match just from the video surveillance.
