The LE personnel at the crash site did not save small fragments of the vehicle that had crashed into the children that were left on the ground. Understandable in the scenario of such a horrible crash and the trauma to these children. However, that would have made their case iron-clad.

I do believe there will be enough evidence to convict her, but her husband seems to think it is worth paying lawyers to try to defend what appears to be indefensible (IMHO), and that can be worrisome.

Expect distractions, diversions, and blaming everyone else.

Someone of ordinary means would be in prison by now for this crime.

One issue I see here, is glaring lack of training for LEO on responding to accident scenes. In the state of California, LEO is not required to be called for automobile accidents. Nevada is the same.

However, in Utah, Arizona, Montana, all auto accidents with any damage need to be reported to law enforcement.

I don't know, I want this to be a "slam dunk" with the "Socialite" going to prison for her reckless driving.

Yes, it's truly awful. I don't understand how her husband can stand by her either. Does he feel obligated because of his wedding vows? There must be ulterior motives that I just don't understand.

I think the motives of the Grossman's are to try to protect themselves and their assets in the civil trial for wrongful death that would be the next step. She is a co-founder of the Grossman Burn Foundation, along with her husband. Opening the Foundation books in an adverse decision might also expose some issues with their Foundation. I find it so strange that two people who are so devoted to burn charity work are so slimy about responsibility for a horrendous crime that occurs because of complete lack of safety, personal responsibility, or accountability.

RG's awful statements and absolute lack of responsibility or her driving drunk with excessive speed and failing to stop will sink their reputations and assets unless they can make a civil suit more difficult by getting a Not Guilty verdict.

“Grossman’s defense team, led by Tony Buzbee, is expected to present its case beginning Tuesday and Buzbee has already given a strong indication of his plans.

Buzbee told jurors in opening statements he would prove that Erickson hid in nearby bushes after the crash and watched as Grossman was taken into custody.

Alexis Grossman, the defendant’s daughter, is expected to testify that she came to the scene, where she saw her mother’s car and Erickson, a one-time World Series winner, lurking nearby and watching investigators. She also is expected to reveal comments he made to her.”

Thank you for the update! I tried to read the LA Times online but it requires a subscription :(
I appreciate you!

I’ve never heard that her daughter went to the scene. Was this info verified or known by anyone throughout these 4 years? Obviously illegal to perjure herself in court, but are they seriously just making things up?

If her daughter didn't make any contact with LE, investigators, or Erickson, I wonder if this would even count as evidence in court, or be liable to huge challenge by the prosecution.

At this point, I think anything is possible by the defense. There seems to be no accountability by the defendant at all.

The daughter's testimony is irrelevant to me. As a juror, it would be meaningless.

I am sick of the "Socialite". In her little black sweater. I want to her to be in the exact same outfit she was wearing the day she killed that family. She didn't just kill two boys. I doubt that family will ever heal.

The bar for a civil lawsuit is much lower than in a criminal trial, which is why OJ Simpson lost at the Civil trial when Ron Goldman's family went after him.

And, people like this don't care about burn victims. They just want their name out there. Narcissism. So they can go to parties with their rich friends, and raise money for their charity. Which is really just a vehicle as a tax deduction for their inherited wealth.

The "librarian" wardrobe for this drunken cheater is pretty stupid.

I believe this article was the first time that I saw information about her daughter coming to the scene.

“The deputy said he saw a person who identified herself as Grossman's daughter and said she was there to pick up her mother. He said he told her that she couldn't go home with her. He said he never saw a man hiding in the bushes watching the police investigation, and would have considered that highly suspicious.”

How can she live with what she’s done? What a terrible person RG must be.

The lack of consideration for the Iskander family and the loss of their two children by the actions of Grossman's is horrific. The Grossmans seem very unethical to me, despite their continuing blathering about their Burn Foundation.

When it comes right down to it, they have no kindness and no ethics.

“At a hearing outside the jury's presence, prosecutors indicated that Rebecca Grossman had received four speeding tickets between 2000 and 2020. But jurors did not hear about the tickets during questioning of Grossman's husband.

The doctor described his wife -- whom he married in 2000 -- as "the engine" that makes the Grossman Burn Foundation work, but said the two had begun dating others after deciding to separate within their own home.

He testified that he had never met Erickson but knew that his wife had decided to date him, saying that he had seen Erickson's vehicle -- which he described as a newer model black Mercedes-Benz AMG.”

ugh that picture of her smirking behind her mask :( infuriating

"Rebecca Grossman's doctor husband told the jury at her murder trial on Tuesday that he 'didn't recollect' her ever speeding despite being with her 'hundreds of times' when she was at the wheel.

The wealthy Los Angeles socialite had received nine traffic citations, including four speeding tickets, the court heard, prior to the horrific September 2020 crash in which she's accused of running down and killing two young brothers in her speeding Mercedes SUV.

But when Deputy District Attorney Jamie Castro asked her husband, prominent plastic surgeon and burns specialist Dr. Peter Grossman if she ever drove 'over the speed limit on occasion', he replied: 'I don't recollect that,' adding that he'd been a passenger when she was driving, 'hundreds of times.'

Castro persisted: 'Of the hundreds of times you drove with her, you don't have any recollection that she drove over the the speed limit?'

Dr. Grossman responded: 'That's correct.' "

I just do not believe her husband regarding not knowing what kind of driver she was.. She had a penchant for speeding- and often! I bet her kids and husband know what kind of (awful) driver she is known to be!
