Its been 3 weeks now and still no details nor clues released by the police. The family is still in the dark. Time to quit being timid and think outside of the box.

I've already drove through Giselle's complex, its not bad at all and I know the area well. I grew up just a few mins away from there.

Michael Le was on the radio this morning from 11-12 a.m. He was on KGO in the Bay Area--the host was someone standing in for Ronn Owens--I'm embarassed that I can't remember the host's name, but I recognize his voice. (sorry, old brain here). I'm so glad Michael is getting the word out. I didn't hear the whole interview. I just really feel for their family. There have been no leads at all for the family. They are frustrated that the police can't give them more information but they understand that they are trying to build a criminal case. None of them are sleeping or eating properly...they feel like time spent sleeping or eating is time they could be out looking for Michelle...

ETA: I think the host of the show was Brian Copeland.

bolded by me.

From the pictures on the news, the complex she lives in looks really nice.

For some reason the condos where Giselle lives do not have central AC. They have the window AC type units sticking out of the walls, these are not very efficient. That means the residents probably keeps their windows open. They can hear cars/people coming and going.

I lived in a similar setup before with the garages under the condos. It turns the complex road into an alleyway and you can hear every car coming and going. Unless they drive a Prius. It echos off of the buildings.

When you live close to others like that, you tend to figure out their habits and can easily spot things that are out of the ordinary. Or maybe its just me and OCD or something

I just wrote an article on the search for Michelle ( I am an affiliate writer with Google) and I could have sworn I saw a pic of the sleepy hollow parking garage at Kaiser either here or on the web. I wanted to include it in the article. Now I can't find one here or in Google images. Does anyone have one? I think it would be helpful.

Giselle Esteban

I found the address from the ABC 7 video. They showed a building and it had a number on it. From there I dug around and got the condo complex. It's about 5.5 miles to the Kaiser Hospital.

Union City is just the next city over from the hospital. I took a drive over to her complex, its pretty small and there's only 1 entry/exit to the complex. I'm the one that lives on the street where her car was found.

The days before Michelle's disappearance, I did see a Filipino looking dude sitting in a car on Ponderosa ct when I was coming home from work after 5pm. Giselle is Filipino herself. It was a car I haven't seen before on our street. A silver 4 door. I was trying to see if that car was in her condo complex. No such luck. He could have been waiting for friends or family on my street, who knows.

I drove through the parking garage of the Kaiser today. It's 3 or 4 stories and cameras at various spots. There's no hiding from the cameras. Plus, its a busy hospital. I drove through at 8pm. Cars/people were coming and going. The photo I snapped was at 8pm. There is still a lot of light out.

I also took a drive over to Niles Canyon Road, Fremont, CA today. An area near Giselle's condo. Its a 2 lane road that cuts through a canyon. Forest area and a spot someone could dump a person from the side of the road.

8pm at Kaiser's parking garage:

Thanks Jedi. I'll use this one and as soon as I can get a driver to go to Kaiser I'll get a pic of the sleepy hollow garage too, This stupid sling is slowing me down but I can still write!!!

I drove to the Kaiser parking garage today. And from what I saw, it doesn't look any different from any Kaiser parking garage I've been to. I've seen darker parking garages in San Francisco downtown. There was enough lighting to see something from one end of the garage to the other. If someone else was in the garage on the same floor, they must've seen something. I also drove to Ponderosa. The area didn't seem that bad. I've lived in a much worse neighborhood than this one. I saw people walking with their kids around the area. One thing is obvious, these streets surrounding Kaiser are main streets. And there's a whole lot of traffic in the area. And saw a lot of people walking around too at Kaiser in front of the garage and the streets. There's also a bus stop on the street going towards Ponderosa with a whole bunch of people.

I'm sure LE have witnesses and we'll hear something soon about the case. They did talk to 40 people about the case.

EDIT: I just have to mention, Ponderosa is really close to Kaiser. If you lived at Ponderosa and needed to goto Kaiser, you can just walk.

When you look at any puzzle and someone has taken out several of the large key pieces, it's very difficult if not impossible to guess what the puzzle is a picture of. There are times when you can piece together SOME of the pieces remaining and see a barn, tree, or even guess the entire scene but that is very rare.

When you're looking at the Michelle Le case with a "lot of leads and evidence" yet, someone is holding those pieces back from you - it's difficult to know where she is, where to search, or most importantly HOW TO SOLVE THE CASE.

My thinking is that this is done purposely. It isn't in the least bit funny.

But seriously:
1. Where were her cell phone pings the night she disappeared - specifically?
2. Who drove her car out of the parking garage? Did she? Did someone else?
3. Did she get any calls to her phone before her kidnapping/assault?
4. Where was most of the forensic evidence found in her vehicle or outside of it?
5. Where are her car keys, purse, wallet, and other effects?
6. Where was GE at the time of the kidnapping/assault? What was her alibi?
7. How much did she weigh? I know she was 5'6.
8. Other cameras in the area catch anything? (other than the parking garage?)
9. Other than VAGUE information, what areas were searched...specifically - so we don't repeat effort with already stretched thin resources?
10. Based on what evidence was this ruled a "recovery" operation?

I also don't buy that the parking garage camera information was "useless".

You know, the police doesn't want Joe Q. Public finding her. That would be embarrassing. So, they will withhold as much information they need to until they eventually send out a plea to the public for their help in solving the case. By then, all the evidence, witnesses, and leads will be quite cold.

I will also point out that every day she is missing ... is less and less of a chance of a safe return.

Also, while there are areas to hide someone - it isn't as easy as someone might think. TV is a lot of hype. There are roads and routes that have yet to be traveled to search for her. Hopefully this weekend we'll make serious progress in that regard. Let's hope that this weekend's search brings this case to an end.

Lastly, wildly speculating about every kidnapper and killer in the bay area even going back to the 70's isn't helpful. While there are similarities to other cases - this case is unique and complicated. Police would have already mentioned this is a pattern or serial killer. They haven't. In fact, they have said many times they believe that Michelle Le knew her attacker. This rules out a large number of people you've read about in the news unless Michelle Le tended to hang out with gang members, serial killers, or rapists on a regular basis. Let's stop with the wild speculations... it doesn't help anything.

1 year ago a postal employee in Hayward went on break and never came back. Nancy Rogers was the person. Hayward PD also did not release much details citing that they wanted to "protect the investigation." Someone had killed her and threw her in the dumpster.

The post office is not very far from Kaiser hospital. 2 exits away and both locations are near the freeway. Both were workers on break.

I checked the news for her name everyday for a month to see if there were any updates when it happened last year. Nothing ever came out of it and I eventually forgot about it.

The sad part was that the police station was directly next door to the post office. They could see the murder site from their windows.

If you need further proof Hayward PD is incompetent, look no further.

Here is the websleuths page for Nancy Rogers. :

"An autopsy revealed that Nancy Rogers, 61, of Fremont was a homicide victim, police said. They declined to release any specifics about how she died or other details about the case, saying it could compromise the investigation.

"We have some persons of interest"

The Post office thing I always thought it was tied into the counterfeiting case.
There was a guy who worked at a post office (maybe Dublin Ca) and was putting counterefeit money into the till. And sometimes I believed he worked in Hayward.
I always thought he got caught by the sup and that was who killed her.

Its been a year and whoever the perp is, he is still out there.

It might be a good idea for Michelle's family to hook up with the postal unions. No one knows the streets/houses better than they do.

Most LEA have a hard time dealing with missing persons cases; it is NOT hard to hide a body and it IS hard to find one. And it IS difficult to proceed with any kind of a kidnapping or murder case without one. It can take years to build a case, long enough for all jurors, public and officials to believe that the missing person must be dead.

This case had a crime scene; whether or not it was properly handled, we don't know; whether or not DNA was found and is being tested, we don't know. But apparently LE believes Michelle to be deceased, and this case, more than others, may have a chance to come to a conclusion without her being found. But it will be horrible if she is not...as it is horrible for the many thousands of families with missing loved ones.

Hoping the searches this weekend are successful, and that LE did their job correctly in processing the scene...

If they're having a hard time, why don't they release the tapes? Tell us what evidence they do have. What we should be looking out for?

The investigators in the Indiana missing student case has released tapes.

Hi everyone I'm back today with some disturbing info,on many counts. Since I'm in a sling I had my DIL take me on some errands today, and one of them was to work at Kaiser Hospital.

1)I went onto the second floor to let my co-workers know that I would not be at work for awhile because of my dislocated shoulder (good reason to be there) , and while there I brought a big stack of Michelles flyers and asked if I could put them in the employees break room (which I thought would be OK since it's probably the place where Michelle may have last been seen) The answer was a resounding NO.

2) I then asked if we could put some up in the parking garage where she disappeared or in the hospital. Another resounding NO.

3) I persisted that this was something that Mark Klaas suggested would be helpful to the search for Michelle Le. A phone call was then made to the person in charge of Kaisers public relations, Deborah Barnett (not sure about the spelling) I was told she would call me back on my cell phone (no call yet today and this was about 12:00 I went there)

4) IT IS APPARENT THERE IS A BIG GAG ORDER IN PLACE REGARDING MICHELLE LE AND HER DISAPPEARANCE.

5) I talked to a friend while up there in HK that mentioned that the EFT was called to the parking garage to clean up blood after Michelle went missing. She mentioned they did not know whos blood it was. This employee was nervous to talk to me and I did not want to ask her anything else.It wasn't the right time or place. I do not want to jeapordize her job. I am not even entirely sure I heard the term EFT correctly but I did not want to push anymore. I thought maybe EFT might stand for Emergency Facilties Techncian? I'm not sure.

6) My DIL and I went over to sleepy hollow to take some pics of the parking garage for my article. Since I can't take pics well with the camera because of my sling she got out of the car and took them in the lot. She was IMMEDIATELY approached by security asking why was she taking pictures.

I am irritated in so many ways right now and I let Kaiser know to expect search parties in that area for 3 days and that Mark Klaas was called in to help with his organization.

I'm so pissed -not at Kaiser employees because I love my co-workers. I'm just very very angry at the "BIG PHARMA MENTALITY" and what I percieve to be a cover-up and lack of cooperation on Kaisers part to help find Michelle.:banghead:

Maybe Kaiser would like a hundred people on their sidewalk handing fliers to each person walking in the building? Maybe with a few news camera present?

This case has not been good for Kaiser or Hayward's PR. Its all about minimizing damages at this point.

@DLynn: Thank you for being so dedicated to help the Le family find Michelle. I'm concerned though, hopefully Kaiser doesn't frown upon you helping them since you work for them. They're already acting like a big corporate company that watch their assets.

IF and only if she is deceased and in the Niles or Palomars, Dont
you think tonight someone is paranoid and possibly going out there to move or cover her.
Just a thought. If you are driving through the Canyon tonight check out Lic Plates if
they are pulled over on the side of the road.
