It seems the family of ML have come to terms with the strong likelihood that ML is no longer alive:
From the link--
"On Friday, as about 50 volunteers scoured the area around Lake Chabot in Castro Valley, family spokeswoman Krystine Dinh said things have changed since Le's former friend Giselle Esteban was arrested last week.
"The focus is still on bringing her home for a proper memorial, and a proper goodbye," she said."
I can't help but feel such strong feelings of sympathy for this family. Krystine Dinh is also quoted in the article as saying,
""There are three stages," she said. "There's fighting for Michelle, there's closure, and there's justice. We won't have closure until we find her -- right now we're still fighting for her.""
We should all be so fortunate to have someone like Krystine on our side.

That's so very sad. This is the first time I have heard them say that they thought Michelle was dead.
I was looking at maps of Lake Chabot and did not realize that Lake Chabot extends as far as Oakland. Perhaps they will find her now. I know her phone and Giselle's phone pinged in Oakland so they must feel Michelle may have been left there.
I pray that they find her but also pray for the whole group of searchers. Lake Chabot is huge but I don't think GE would have been able to leave her anywhere too far off the road.
I feel somehow they may find her. I don't know...just something in my gut. Perhaps that is another reason I don't want to go this weekend.
