Yea we read that last year. Monique was allegedly with him when he murdered a local teen. This was an unrelated homicide.

LE saying that "she refused to cooperate, so she cant be missing because of that" is crap. if the gang THINKS she knows too much and she MIGHT say anything, they will get rid of her and LE knows that.

A $10,000 reward is being offered in an effort to help authorities locate an Antelope Valley mother who has been missing for more than a year, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday.

Detectives believe Figueroa was killed and recently received a tip that her remains might be buried off the 11000 block of Pearblossom Highway in Palmdale, the department said.

Cadaver dogs and Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner personnel checked the area but did not find any remains.

It's so vast in the Palmdale area just weeds and desert. If she's buried it would be difficult to locate where.

Possible human remains found in Angeles National Forrest. Could they be Monique? http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/gen...uman-remains-found-in-angeles-national-forest

I know there are a lot of theories of what happened but if she took a different car from the one they found from Littlerock toward Los Angeles it looks like this would be along her route. Hoping they can identify the remains found.

i think because of how recently the skid marks were reported it might not be, but it does say car might be associated with a missing person...

Good find, T0pS3cr3t. When I first found the article it just said "possible human remains" then they updated it to add the part about the
car and skid marks. Now we find out the car was linked to a two year old case. Still doesn't say if it's a man or woman. Won't be long now, I hope they identify the person.

I hope they do too - I did think it could be viable for MF - Angeles Forest is close enough.

This sounds like it is near
la crescenta and montrose, which is along 210 toward Pasadena, going away from LA. However, if they left AV from the other side it's possible?

Still no update on who they think it is but the skidmarks were from an unrelated recent accident: http://scvnews.com/2016/08/24/human-remains-found-near-angeles-crest-highway/
The identity of the victim remains unknown and the cause of death will be determined following an autopsy.

Detectives learned the skid marks discovered on the highway near the recovery site were caused by a recent unrelated traffic collision.

Members of the Montrose Search and Rescue Team descended the steep roadside and found an SUV 500 to 600 feet over the roadside, Lt. Steve Jauch of the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau said. The SUV, which the lieutenant declined to describe in detail, was being overgrown with weeds and foliage. He declined to speculate how many months or years the SUV may have been there.

The original skid marks that prompted the search were found to have been the result of an unrelated crash that occurred about a week ago, Jauch said.

No body was initially found.

But officials returned to the scene Wednesday to resume their search. Search and Rescue officials discovered the skeletal remains “in the vicinity” of the SUV about 8 a.m., Jauch said.
