Dear all. This is my first post on these forums. I like to do a little sleuthing on the web, I have an eye for maps, faces and details, and an inquisitive mind. In hindsight I should have joined the boys in blue when I was young!
I have been following the case of this girl for a few years now hoping to see some leads. I don't know what it is about this case that keeps me coming back, I think it's the brutality of her passing and the way she was treated like rubbish to be discarded afterwards. She also looks like somebody who would be missed. I've done a little digging on this and would like to put a few points out there for others, and also pose a few questions for opinions.
First I think the mine she was discovered in was the Blue Buzzard mine, as the Police report abbreviated it to "BB mine".
http://www.anyplaceamerica.com/topographic_maps/california/san_bernardino_county/blue_buzzard_mine/162-4333/ This is a remote spot but one that can be accessed very quickly off the road between LV and LA. It makes you wonder how this spot was familiar to the murderer, as if he had done it before, it was conveniently just over the rise to stay out of view of this main highway.
What are your thoughts on the method of death? A shotgun? Not the sort of concealed weapon someone would carry around and whip out in a moment of passion. Who would carry this, where and why? It sounds like an abduction gone wrong or an execution.
Then there is the girl in a bathing suit. This is the kind of outfit you would wear where you felt safe, which suggest she was in a crowded area or her own home before death.
I have looked at the Dana Lull murder as the similarities are disturbing. However I wish people would not post up the links to that site above which is fiction (it even says so in the address bar) even the boyfriends name is wrong. Genuine information on that case is disappointingly hard to come by.
I just hope this case gets solved, along with so many others, to ease the pain of loved ones left behind. After a while the key players, parents and siblings, die out and you wonder if there is any need to rake over old coals. Dana Lull's parents have passed on, Dana was their only child, you can only imagine their pain at living out their lives not knowing justice or closure. Good luck to all here who try and make it otherwise.
