Hi,
I couldn't find a thread on this case:
https://identifyus.org/en/cases/3114
http://doenetwork.org/cases/727umca.html
Unidentified White Male
The victim was discovered on April 3, 2004 in Northridge, Los Angeles County, California
Skeletal Remains
Vital Statistics
Estimated age: 15-23 years old
Approximate Height and Weight: 5'4"; weight unknown.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Hair and eye color undetermined.
Dentals: Available. 3rd molars are unerupted and teeth 4, 7, 13 are missing postmortem.
Case History
The victim was located on a horse trail near 12100 Tampa Avenue in Northridge, California on April 3, 2004.
What do you think of these two possible matches:
Michael William Negrete http://dojapp.doj.ca.gov/missing/detail.asp?FCN=2320018900283
Kenneth Stephen Haley http://dojapp.doj.ca.gov/missing/detail.asp?FCN=3040301000221
This UID is estimated to be between 15 and 23 and his estimated year of death is 2003 or 2004. Kenneth Haley was last seen in 2001, he was 21 and he would have been 23 or 24 in 2003-2004. There is a time discrepancy but Kenneth Haley was listed as a voluntary missing adult on the California Department of Justice missing persons index and if he left on his own accord it might be possible that he died only in 2003. Also, Kenneth was 5'07 and the UID was around 5'04, there's a difference but I don't know if this difference is big enough to rule it out. It was also stated that Kenneth Haley has his front teeth capped but the UID was missing teeth #7 to 13 postmortem according to NamUs.
I contacted the California Department of Justice by e-mail via their website about 3-4 months ago, asking if Kenneth Stephen Haley had been looked at a possible match but never got any reply. I can't phone as I live in France... :banghead:
