It seems probable that David Bell died in 2015 (from an obituary online in the right location and a predeceased son called DeWayne). So that almost certainly leaves no surviving suspects other than Reneer, whose tape seems convincing and whose story has been supported by both LE and the Green family.

But one question does seem outstanding. Who were the woman and child from Tennessee that Dewayne Bell claimed to have killed (on the tape)?

We are clear that Shannon disappeared that she is dead but your question is plausible... who were the two of them? Reneer seems to be innocent up to a certain point in this story.. I read somewhere that the police also think so since a polygraph went through and the recorded confession... I also saw that the investigators searched for Shannon's body next to a line iron but that it was not there and that perhaps at some time before it was but it was removed perhaps to cover up the real murderer..
