In the suspect's residence, investigators found .38-caliber ammunition, zip ties, a “suicide letter” and a makeshift gun silencer crafted from an automative filter, the report noted.
“While the note is referred to as a ‘suicide note,’ it was not found in a place where it could have been easily found by family members, and it contained no date indicating when it was written,” the report noted.
There will be a candlelight and balloon event for missing Vallejo teen Pearl Pinson on Friday on the Internet 780 overpass.
The event will happen at 8 p.m. at 1000 Lewis St. in Vallejo.
So sad that this has never been solved. [emoji22]
FAIRFIELD A year and a half since 15-year-old Pearl Pinson was abducted in Vallejo and disappeared, investigators are still pursuing new leads in her case, according to court records filed earlier this week.
Court records filed Tuesday reflect that in August someone tampered with Pinsons account on Facebook, disabling access to it and opening a new fraudulent Facebook profile for Pinson. Investigators with the Solano County Sheriffs Office are now dissecting the fraudulent Facebook account hoping to obtain new evidence in the case.
Investigators are also scrutinizing two Facebook profiles of Fernando I. Castro, the man who abducted Pinson as she was walking to Jesse Bethel High School on the morning of May 25, 2016.
The scope of the Facebook analyses includes recent account information and account information dating back to February 2016.
It may have been Christmas Day for much of the world, but it was just another 25th of the month for the Pinson family, which spent part of the day cleaning up the pedestrian walkway in Vallejo where Pearl Pinson was last seen alive being abducted at gunpoint on May 25, 2016.
Pearls parents, her sister, brother, a family friend and the parents of a former boyfriend come out to the overpass every 25th of the month and tend to the site. Theres little else they can do, and this makes them feel like theyre still connected, and like theyre doing something for her, they said.
We care. Thats why we do it; my wife, Vickie (Francon) and I, Dan Walsh said. Because we care. Thats the only reason.
Every month we either come here or to a favorite place of hers, like the Glen Cove Park or the baseball field at Wilson Park, and do something for her ... a barbecue, or something, sister Rose Pinson said. Last month, we planted a garden down here, but, you can see, its all been torn out since then.
The small band finds graffiti and evidence of burning and other vandalism on the posters they have had made offering a $10,000 reward for Pearls return, not to mention garbage and the refuse evidently left by homeless people finding shelter under the concrete structure.
Rose Pinson said police think Pearl may have been disappeared into human trafficking, and as horrible as that would be, it beats the alternative, she said.
Honestly, we hope thats what it is, Rose Pinson said. Wed rather have that than to find her not alive.
Wow that article had some good info
Where are you Pearl??
I finally joined WS after Pearl disappeared, I have a child her age and am devastated she’s still missing but was glad to hear her case was on the In Sight podcast today. I still wonder what the outcome would have been if there hadn’t been a shoot out with Castro.

Yeah, that will always play out in my head. I know they had no choice... but what if?
