With a bag over her head?

Maybe they were just trying to break her spirit for three weeks and make her into the perfect marijuana plantation slave, but she refused to be broken so they let her go. Or maybe they intended to sell her to other marijuana plantation owners, but they refused to buy her because of all the publicity so they let her go.

Is there anything new?

I followed this from the beginning, but not since she was found and her husband revealed the injuries.

There is a shortage of big, strong, strapping males?

I myself have skipped a few pages so I apologize if you already brought this up.....
But what if she was "Never" dropped off at I5 and 17 by a vehicle, if you do a satellite search of that exit and zoom in on the "junkyard" you can see storage containers on the property. What if she actually was held there and broke free during the night, she would have chains on her, not many injuries, ran over to church, then to highway, but yet she is to scared to identify her abductors or to scared to say she was held at that junkyard knowing future consequences. I know a lot of these threads have talked about, truck drivers, storage containers, chains, all junkyards have those, and junk yards are filled with crime, makes you wonder

Is it possible she was taken for prostitution (human trafficking possibly Mexico) and they saw that she was in shape and long blonde hair, but after she was taken, something about her, aging, body changes from children, made her not favorable for whatever ring they were abducting for? They could have mistaken her for a late teen or early 20s.

I think the case map that has been created here is quite informative. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewe...ll=40.70211429904189,-122.28278875350952&z=14

While reading the Police report, page 2 really catches my attention. http://www.co.shasta.ca.us/docs/Sheriff/daily-logs/11-12-2016.pdf?sfvrsn=2

"Reporting Person is a family friend of MP. States he received information tonight that didn't want to be involved with LEO contact. Received info that listed male is holding female against her will in a storage container/shed." The report also lists five suspected licence plate numbers for a tan Chevy suburban.

A by passer called at 9:34 a.m. to report approximately 30 minutes prior a he saw a female walking west bound on Oasis near Old Oregon Trail. She looked like she had been in a fight of some kind. Caller stopped and asked her if she needed help and she declined. Caller requests welfare care on female
http://eastvalleytimes.com/sheriffs-log-nov-1-7/ Was this person able to identify the women as SP or rule her out?

Lastly, the map shows a suspected pink piece of clothing and jogging shoe, which is also reflected in the police report. This item is strikingly close to a RSO. Not only that, the item appears to be what I would call an "outlyer". Most items with possible links to SP were found on Old Oregon Tr. with the exception of these items. I vividly remember the police stating that some of SP neighbors were good, and some were bad. With all the theories out there, I'm just going back to some of the more simple ones.

My understanding is that she was dropped off on 17 not far from some dark houses a bit west of the drilling company which I speculate is what she thought was a wrecking yard in the dark and in her disoriented state. When she was picked up she was North of the intersection on I-5, not South as your location 4 shows. She didn't know exactly where she was, but she somehow knew she was South of Redding. According to a family member she went North on the on ramp because she knew home was to the North and she ran, not just walked, to a streetlight on I-5 in an attempt to be more visible as she was trying to flag down vehicles.

That clarifies things for me, thank you so much Lake

I've updated the Case Map

And I made and added this little diagram. Note that I have marked where SP was located, I hope that is correct, it is the only streetlight that is on the NE side of the junction.

Skibs, great map !! Do you have any follow up on the reported clothing found that you identified on the map ? Has there been any sort of confirmation that the clothing did in fact belong to SP ?

Bringing this over from the last thread to answer.

No.

Anything confirmed related are YELLOW markers on the map
If it's ORANGE, then it is of possible interest but not confirmed.

Hope that helps

I truly question being "dropped off" because if your that scared to describe your abductors, your not going to walk over a mile on public roads knowing they may come back at any time for you. So I still think we are being thrown off course and I think she may have ran from a location knowing abductors wern't around in the middle of the night such as drilling company.

But if you are dropped off, what else can you do? It's dark, there's not much around and what is there is dark (houses) or closed (church). Your choices are to pretty much walk to where the traffic is and get help or sit down where you were dropped off, where they know exactly where they left you, and wait until morning. Neither is a good option but I'd take the opportunity to get away from there.

I rarely notice highway call boxes. And payphones are almost nil these days.

So I probably would go for the passing highway cars as well. Or do a church break-in to use the office phone. Lol

Bill me later for the broken window. Lol

I don't know why. They are pretty easy to see. I spotted them in the streetview images right away. I believe they are also usually very well lighted and easy to see at night. They are useful even if if you are using a cell phone to report an emergency. Because you can give the operator the box number, and they should know right where you are. :thumb:

Or maybe they were worried about their Thanksgiving guests sensing something wasn't right, so they let her go.

Heh heh heh. ;)

Excellent point, it certainly does make you wonder. I assume LE would have spoken to all associated with the properties SP reportedly stopped at but do we know for sure?

I'm new, my apologies if I missed someone going over this

Easy to see doesn't necessarily mean you're going to notice it. I usually don't notice things I don't really have need of.

I think she made the smart move. She wasn't in good physical shape, not sure where she was. Covered the least ground, put herself by a sign where she could be noticed but not run over, where likely the first motorist, if they didn't stop, would at least call 911 when they saw her in chains and waving something. Better to do that Than walk an indeterminate distance to a call box whose location you don't know. She did the safest thing to get help the most quickly IMHO.
