(BBM, snip) The only thing I can think of is that maybe he was waiting by the phone if she called (did her husband have a cell phone? I can't remember now if Susan did). Or wanted to be home if she turned up.

tcg

Well a quick note would suffice: Susan I am not home because I am out looking for you. He could list the time on the note as well to let her know what time he left to go look for her. If she would have come home she would have seen this hypothetical note.
IMOO.

In this article of the Good Samaritan finding Susan's wallet:

“I just saw business cards and stuff all over the sidewalk, and then I realized there was a purple wallet there with it, so I bent down and first thing I saw was her driver’s license,”

http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2013...issing-roseville-womans-wallet-comes-forward/

I wonder what kind of BUSINESS CARDS were found with her ID and wallet??

Susan was said to be shy, as per this article:

" “My mom is shy and very private,” Kevin Jacobson told the Press Tribune. “She has anxiety about meeting new people."

http://www.thepresstribune.com/arti...ses-fears-around-mother’s-disappearance

So, I wonder about those business cards. Did she know those people/businesses well, or just acquaintances, or not at all?
What were the business cards about?, seeing as Susan liked to keep to her self, ya know.....

Susan is such a beautiful woman. I was just looking at the 'Profile Picture' for the Susan Jacobson Missing Facebook page-- assuming that picture is a good representation of what Susan looked like when she went missing, she really appears younger than her age (IMO). She is also a very small woman and (again, based off of that picture) seems to dress very young and 'hip'. (WOW does saying 'hip' make me sound old???) Lastly, it seems that she wears her hair longer than many women in her age range-- short hair seems to be pretty popular for older women.

I don't think Susan fits the image of the stereotypical grandmother (not that I think stereotypes are ever accurate). I certainly wouldn't see Susan on the street and think she was old, frumpy, grandmother-ly looking, etc.

In the early morning hours, or from the back Susan could pass for significantly younger than she is (IMO).

I know many posters here are suspicious that an abduction even happened. Understandably. I agree with all of the points that have been made. In addition, it has been pointed out that stranger abductions of women Susan's age are not as common as other age groups. I think it is possible that if Susan was abducted and assaulted/killed by a stranger, he may have thought she was much younger. From behind, or with her head turned away she would have looked like any other pretty, petite, middle-aged adult woman.

JMO. I hope this post didn't sound like I subscribe to stereotypes… I'm not feeling super articulate today.

I just saw one other picture on the Susan Jacobson Missing Facebook Page and it affirms what I was thinking above…

In the picture I just saw Susan is wearing sequined/sparkly Ugg type boots, jeans, and a zip-up hoodie with her hair hanging to just past her shoulders. We also know she was under 5 feet tall and just 90 pounds. From the back I would venture to say she could even pass for a teenager, if she was wearing a similar outfit.

This a really interesting observation.

And, not far from a high school... this thought has crossed my mind as well.

Hi everyone - I've been catching up on this case for the last couple of days and just got caught up! Can't believe Susan has NOT been found and no one cares... besides WS at least... just a few comments on some posts.

I had the weirdest, most vivid dream about Susan last night. A woman called and wanted to meet me for lunch in a place with outdoor seating, near a parking lot. She didn't say who she was but said it was important. I took hubby with me since it all seemed really mysterious and a little sketchy.

We got there and this woman looked sooo familiar but I couldn't place her right away. She was very soft spoken and said "Hi, I'm Susan Jacobson." I was in shock! She offered to share her lunch with us, and we sat down with her. We had Mexican food (lol told you it was a vivid dream). After a little small talk I asked if she knew people had been looking for her and so many of us were worried about her and she said "I didn't know for sure." I told her about us here on WS. She was very touched. I asked "Where have you been?" and she said quietly "Just...away. I'm alright, I've just been away." I asked if her son and husband knew where she was and she said "I don't know. I don't think so." I asked if she planned to come back and she said "I'm not sure."

We also made small talk about the weather, her dog, hip replacement surgery (I have a bum knee, so we had a little in common there). I asked her what made her contact me and she said she got my name (she didn't specify how), and wanted to meet me. She made sure hubby and I left before she did so that we didn't see where she went, if she went to a car, etc. and apologized for being "so secretive" about it. I said I hoped to see her again and she said "me too."

I know it was just a dream, but man it was so vivid and detailed! It was oddly comforting, too. Just had to share it with Susan's fellow supporters here.

Any more dreams nikb?? Would be interested in hearing if you have! :seeya:

The Grass Valley woman was found deceased. Her vehicle stuck on a downed log and she kept a journal. http://blogs.sacbee.com/crime/archi...n-kept-diary-of-days-leading-up-to-death.html

The ladies from Roseville, their ages and proximity to each other, are very interesting. I was just in Roseville yesterday and I can tell you they lived maybe 10 minutes a part in afternoon traffic. Have to find the common denominator with these two.

A. Raley's where Jacobson's car found
C. Home of Cynthia
E. Home of Susan

Maybe - A. should be "Home of Susan" - ?? just thinking out loud since there is no surveillance video (as of yet!) of Susan in the parking lot at Raley's. Right? there is no video available, or the LE is not saying?? TIA!

nik I just stare at maps and think where would I put someone...if I were a horrid person..the sad thing is she could be any where. I need to go back to the vicinity of the shopping center and work my way out, looking at all those roads. I don't really think those golf courses ...but then again...depending on the when..I guess someone could carry her to a place ...sigh
Bless her heart she is so tiny.
I sure wish someone had come out and said the last time they saw her or spoke to her personally- like a neighbor or clerk or sister(s) Anyone! (can't recall how many sibs right off hand)

have you gone back to the shopping center area sreshowtime?? Here's a map(s) of where the dogs trailed her scent - maybe you can scout this area out! (Don't know if the maps will follow this post - they might be at the bottom)!

this one snipped for space:
Personally, in my opinion, I don't think she made it to the shopping center.
Her car made it, but I don't think she drove it there. The police have not told the family where exactly the car was parked in the parking lot (as per her son,Kjac22 that made that statement here on Websleuths)IMOO.

there is a picture on FB one 'where' the car was parked. Here it is: It might be with the other pictures I'm posting (3rd one?) marked with an "X".

Really surprised at not hearing ANYTHING on the Sacramento channels for Susan lately, since she is out there "missing". Wonder why kjac hasn't posted lately?? Busy with new baby, work?

The photo from the facebook page of the "X" where Kjac22 THINKS her car was parked (posted on MAY 30, 2013.) It is HIS thoughts about where Susan MIGHT have parked based on how she would park in a parking lot.
it took me awhile to find this post, but it IS IMPORTANT because I have addressed this same comment before on Susan's thread.

QUOTING KJAC22 from JUNE 26, 2013 POST # 478 :

"We do not know exactly where her car was parked in the shopping center. I'm not sure if initially someone indicated where she parked, but I did have the impression early on that she had parked near the middle of the lot. But when I followed up later, LE preferred not to give out this information, so I'm not 100% sure where the car was found in the shopping center. I would not be surprised (and I would even expect) that it was found near the middle (i.e. not right up front near the entrance) because she just typically preferred to park back a little ways to avoid people coming in and out, and also to avoid door dings, etc. I'm similar - I don't care about door dings but I do park back to avoid some of the activity at the front of the store (cars pulling in and out, people unloading, etc.) and I don't mind walking.

No polygraph - just hasn't come up. My understanding and talking to people is that many agencies don't use anymore since they aren't conclusive and a lot of issues have come up with their reliability.

Thanks all."
****************************************************************

So if read in it's entirety KJAC22 noted that LE preferred NOT to give out info where the car was exactly parked......He said he was not 100 percent sure where the car was found in the shopping center.

IMOO.

I am so glad to see activity on Susan's thread. I re-read from the beginning a few days ago. Another poster had written early on that going grocery shopping would be the last errand while out, due to the heat at that time of year. (My thoughts, too.) Also, Kjac wrote early on that there was a "pending" video of Susan driving her car, but that was never clarified nor was mention made later.

My mom was tremendously shy and private, yet that is not how I remember her. It appears to me that this is the overriding feeling of Susan's family, as communicated to the public and on here. That would explain why no one else outside of the family had contact with her. With no sightings, either, on surveillance video, and the fact she was not reported missing until 7:00 pm that day, the perp had a 12-hour head start. Unless, of course, LE knows more than what has been released. I have always felt there was no sense of urgency in finding Susan since the beginning.

Just too strange. I will stop now before I go too far!

Sorry for all the snips, just trying to clarify. :)

No more dreams... makes me sad, I kinda thought I'd have more.

About your second question I know you were asking sreshowtime, but wanted to mention I've been out that way for family holiday things recently. Granted I have zero experience in search and rescue, but all I could think driving through there is where would I even look? I can think of places I worry about, but going to my Dad's (he lives not far from Sun City) I was thinking about how many places I never even thought to worry about... my gosh. There are a lot.

I did get some great ideas on here of places to look (thank you!) and I still plan to go out and do more once I'm healthier and can find travel companions again.

Thanks Treelights for that explanation! I thought maybe they DID know 'where' she parked since they had that picture on Facebook page, my bad...

Wonder why LE never searched the area where the dogs followed her scent?? I know it was way after they did the original searches...

I guess no other searches will/are schedule? Someone should look in the areas where the dog went - no??

LE are asking community members to come forward with any information they may have regarding the Raley's parking lot between 4:00 A.M. And Noon on Wednesday, May 1st...

We urge anyone who saw Mrs. Jacobson in the days leading up to her disappearance, or who has any information at all that could help call our tip line.

My apologies for the seeming, randomness of this post.. I have not posted in Susan's threads, but have loosely followed along for the last 6+ months..

In going back to the beginning to just refresh what was said in the earlier stages of the investigation I just really come away with the feeling that LE had a very good idea on what they believe possibly happened to Susan..and of course, the issue is, there's a great difference in LE "knowing" what happened to someone, and LE/DA being able to "prove" in a court of law what happened to the victim.. And as we all know they're not having a body only makes they're being able to "prove" the case beyond reasonable doubt all the more very difficult..

The above two quotes directly from LE IMO speak loudly..

I know that these statements have been discussed thoroughly, but again, I'm just going back to the beginning, refreshing what is known, what LE statements were, etc..

Everyone was very much questioning these statements from the time they were released in the media..and how LE questions were possible indicators of they're believing the actual, true timeline of events are not what they were led to believe(ie.last seen alive/well @6am on 5/1 by husband, when he left to go workout)..

Also IMO, *if* that is the case, clearly opening the great possibility of the car having been parked at the Raley's lot prior to 6am(LE requesting to speak with people in the area from 4am-noon)..

Followed by the request made by LE to speak with ANYONE who had seen/spoken to Susan in the days leading up to 5/1(ANYONE other than the husband).

IMO, those are very key pieces of information that come from those statements made by LE.. IMO key issues that likely indicate they have "known" alot more than what they have ever let on to know..and IMO, they knew much of it from literally the onset of the investigation(but again, the issue is that LE "knowing" vs being able to "prove" what they know are two totally different things)..

All jmo, tho...

My continued prayers for Susan's loved ones through this most difficult time of the first holidays without Susan..and even worse without any answers as to exactly what happened, and where she is to this day.. The just not knowing is hellacious beyond what words can even begin to describe..Surely there are those who love her and are ACTIVELY, desperately seeking to find where/who/how Susan was just "disappeared" that first day of May..jmo.

I do know for a fact that there are several members, here at Websleuths, who very much care, and desperately seek the answers that lead to where she is.. Above all else, Susan Jacobson deserves to be found, laid to rest, and justice served upon those responsible for taking her life!.. Susan deserves ATLEAST that!..

Now besides the few here at Websleuths (who are perfect strangers, yet care tremendously), where are those who are to be Susan's voice demanding that she not be forgotten, and fighting to continue searching until she is found and the justice, she more than deserves, is served firmly upon the *advertiser censored* of those who've harmed/killed her?!?!?

All of the above is of course, nothing but, JMO and MOO!

WELCOME SmoothOperator!!! :)
Thank you for your post.
I agree, the two quotes from LE in your post speak loudly!!
Where are you Miss Susan?

IMOO.

Do the employees park in that same lot, or do they park behind the stores? I know nothing about Raley's, so is it a 24 hour store? Employees coming in at Starbucks and other places would surely notice a lone car sitting off by itself wouldn't they? I used to go in to a job early and I looked around the parking lot.
I have always been concerned about the statement made by police about the days leading up to the disappearance. Maybe they were covering all ground, but why 4am? Why not 2am or 3am? I agree with all you said SmoothOperator!

It sounds like LE may have been hoping someone had seen the car arrive. JMO

And maybe also LE wants to speak with people who perhaps saw who got out of the vehicle, as well, or if anyone was walking near/away from the vehicle, too.
IMOO.

Raleys' hours are 6am to 11pm (link if needed: http://www.raleys.com/www/storelocator?loc=roseville&x=0&y=0). They have a bakery that serves fresh items - donuts, cookies, cakes, etc. so it wouldn't surprise me if they come in pretty early. Starbucks opens at 5:30 or 6:00 I think, depending on location, but they might have people there earlier as well (funny, I know less about Starbucks than I do about Raley's :) ).

I haven't looked at that particular center's parking, but I will next time I'm out there. In general though, there's not a lot of behind-store parking at our area strip malls/shopping centers. The employees usually park kind of far out in the parking lot... come to think of it, similar to where Susan's car was reportedly found. I bet they know each others' cars and might have noticed one that was out of the ordinary. Once again I feel like the key to finding out if Susan was at least there at all comes down to the employees - checkers, baggers, etc.

Your post reminded me, I've also wondered about parking lot cleaning people. When my husband and I take the dog on late night walks we usually go to well lit parking lots because they seem safer than our dark street, and we often notice cleaning people/trucks driving around. They're usually there really late/early depending on your perspective (between midnight and 4am or so). I can't even imagine how much crazy stuff they see. They seem pretty vigilant and always seem to notice us, and they've come to talk to us a few times. IF a cleaning crew happened to be there at the same time Susan/Susan's car was, I bet they would have noticed... it's a longshot, but if that happened I hope it caught their attention and they've talked to LE.

And <sigh> yes back to the same question... where is Susan?

That particular store opens at 5 during the week and typically employees have to be there 45 minutes before opening time, so at least by 4:15. Sometimes earlier.

Saturdays and Sundays that store opens at 5:30.

And for the curious, some open as earlier as 4 or 4:30 - and some are even 24/7 - in store even and not just drive thru.

What were the business cards about?, seeing as Susan liked to keep to her self, ya know.....
IMOO.

Some people keep business cards in their wallet so they don't have to look up a number every time they need repairs on something, or a service some small business offers. I keep at least a dozen business cards in my wallet, and some of them I have not had a need for their services in years, but if I ever do, I have their number handy. A few places I may not even remember the name of the business, but I would recognize it when I see the card.
Being shy or withdrawn has nothing to do with her reasons for keeping business cards... lots of people have them.
