Hard to tell!

but if the stone turns under the finger like they always do it could look like a band.

My rings always slide to the side!

where the other missing women married?

True. Didn't think of that.
But, it also looks like a single wide shank and the photo in the UID thread is a double shank set, welded together.
But don't trust my eyesight. Others may see better.

Yes probably not the ring!

Wow I asked a question on the find susan FB page about the ring even put a pic and a link They deleted it!

Deleted?!?

No action to speak of on Susan's FB page...

But the pic of the ring and your question are deleted immediately?

Looks like the page is monitored more closely than I thought...

:what:

I was just thinking...

Even if the found person in the Sacramento area is not Susan...

the picture you posted would be helpful for people searching for Susan...

KWIM?

Exactly!

Married women usually wear their rings

Very strange! Yes it was within 1/2 hr poof gone zap
Selective info only!

How would they see a mole on the back if this body was burned so badly? If this woman has been there for a long time, wouldn't decomp have removed that mole?

Don't know!

Investigators noted the woman had a mole on her lower back and she wore a chain necklace

I don't think she was there all that long she was left on the road.
I think this poor woman was killed somewhere else and then dumped there!

:( I don't even know if I hope it's Susan or I hope it isn't. Well okay, actually, I hope it's not, because I secretly hold out hope that she's alive somewhere, BUT it would be an answer.

I don't really think it's her because the ring they're publicizing doesn't look right and I don't picture Susan wearing a chain around her neck regularly, given that she's so often pictured in scarves (why wear the chain if you're going to cover it with a scarf?). Of course if it's her I'm heartbroken... if it's not, I can't help but wonder, who is it?

from same article!

Another question: why did the killer go to the trouble of taking the body to a remote stretch of a Delta levee, burn it and then leave the remains on a road where it could be easily found.

Just to add to your points - it is so incredibly dry here right now, smoke is going to get attention immediately. I've been through this particular area and while it's "remote" it's not THAT remote. It gets a fair amount of boat traffic in the water (even now). There's also a decent amount of car traffic on nearby roads.

:praying: for the loved ones of this found, deceased woman...

Whoever she may be...

Bringing up a random question...

but... Looking back at my notes...

Aren't there multiple properties with Susan's name on them?

I wonder about the locations of these properties...

are any in the Walnut Grove area?

:dunno:

I hope -- and doubt the body found is Susan. Where it was discovered looks too close to a road to have been there for a long time. The ring(s) don't look genuine, either (missing stone, color wearing off), plus it looks like Susan is wearing a wide band in the photograph. There is identifiable information that wasn't obliterated by the fire -- hair color, height and weight, approximate age, mole on the back.

Susan's disappearance seemingly into thin air has totally stumped me. And the quiet surrounding her case makes no sense at all. I don't care how "shy" Susan is, her family members needed to be front and center in finding her. I use past tense because so little was done, even in the beginning when the trail was still fresh.

Like, how can one function when a family member just disappears?

Good memory. You prompted me to look it up.

CA CA - Susan Jacobson, 59, Sun City/Roseville, 2 May 2013 - #1 Here's what LittleMissContrary found:

I also noticed that there are property records in Sacramento county, Clark County, Nevada, and Placer county for Susan and her husband. <snip> I am not certain but it appeared that Susan and her husband were involved with more than one property in Placer county in recent years, but as the apn was not indicated on all the entries, I am not 100% certain. I also noted a number of property records in Nevada and in Sacramento.

I don't recall seeing specifics on what LMC found, just the states and counties. Hopefully she'll weigh in.

FWIW, Walnut Grove is in Sacramento County (just barely). Here's a county map for those interested http://www.californiacountymaps.com/sacramento_county.shtml, and Roseville is in Placer County http://www.californiacountymaps.com/placer_county.shtml.

Sorry to quote myself here...

But I did find the picture (referred to in the last few posts) in the pictures/albums in Find Susan Jacobson FB page...

but I am still curious why the question and picture link was deleted from this FB page so rapidly?

:waitasec:

Yes I thought it was strange too!
Its very helpful info to help find someone.
Obviously they didn't want it there.

There are three women missing and possibly a forth woman.
Very sad!
This case just eats at me something is very wrong here ! JMO
