Yes, but I'm not thinking we should post it unless a mod thinks we should. It was in the media. We have that. Now that I see where her school is, I def believe she was hunted. I'm looking now for the name of the school that reported an attempted abduction. Thought they also said they noticed a vehicle that kept riding by...or was that in victim's neighborhood?

Ahhhh, I see. there is a private school across from Kaiser (not sure if it's her's). So, these guys live near the school and followed her to her house or somehow otherwise knew where she lived.
If that's the case, they are kinda stupid, which is good for LE.

oh, but that can't be her school. wrong age right?

I think it's someone who knew family or family member. Maybe not overly friendly, seen them around or a friend of a friend kinda thing. The kidnapping went to smooth for someone not familiar with house layout and family IMHO. Maybe doing drugs in empty house and got a horrible idea.

I agree with you, Branwyn, I think at least one of the pervs knows this little girl. That was my first thought when I read that she was dropped off in front of a hospital. John Douglas talks about tells at a crime scene that give clues to the UID's identity, i.e., covering the body with a sheet is usually indicative of knowing the victim personally. Seems to me that one of them "cared" about her on some sick, twisted level. They not only let her live, they brought her somewhere where she could get medical attention ... that AND the dog not barking piqued my interest.

it makes sense. but why didn't she recognize them then? Could they somehow know (of) her without her having seen them? Or maybe she didn't pay them any attention so doesn't remember them?

Something just doesn't add up for me. She was taken from her own home, then dropped off in a public place. It sounds like the perp(s) aren't afraid of being caught. JMO.

Glad to have you on board!

She has been thru a lot of trauma, she might have block things out as a survival aid. Just a thought.

Thanks, Clue. I was trying to sneak that post in under the radar like I was an old pro. I guess my inept quoting gave me away :)

Right

Maybe she was blindfolded?

Of all the things! Jeesh, that one's right in front of us & I never even considered it!

But then why wouldn't she have been blindfolded at the other places they took her? She was able to describe certain places to detectives.

They may have given her something that affected her memory. I'm trying to say this as delicately as possible.

The school across the street is a public (Los Angeles Unified School District) middle school. Since she's only ten, she probably didn't go there. There is a public charter school (K-12) a few blocks to the north of the hospital.

Oh, and yes, LAUSD schools were on Spring Break. Although many of the local private schools don't start until next week.

I know, thanks. She went to a private school...well private for there.

I didn't know all of the schools were on Spring Break. Where my children go to school, they had off today & return on Wed.

I agree that perp must have been acquainted w/Kaiser. Perp is most likely a Kaiser member.

I thought I read somewhere that at Kaiser you use their insurance? Is that correct? But I also read that they take charity cases for certain emergencies? Is this info correct?

I just read about this. I'm thinking they meant to kill her but had better thoughts about it. Maybe one of them had a change of heart. I'm pretty sure they saw here somewhere and followed her home. She was their fantasy child. Sick bastards.

They do allot a certain percentage of people on Medi-cal and Medicare to be Kaiser members, but those members are regular Kaiser members along with the others.

As for the ER, back in my day we heard horror stories of Kaiser turning away non-members and sending them to the nearest non-private hospital via ambulance. But I don't know if that's changed.

Edited to add: Yes, Kaiser is it's own private healthcare system. It's very complex, exclusionary and ENORMOUS.

Yes, the public schools were on spring break; her private one was, too, according to an article I read yesterday. I'll try to round up the link if needed. It said her parents said she was on spring break.

Nah, your post was fine. The only thing that gave you away was that little number one in the top right corner after 'Post'.

:welcome: to WS.
